Dear Winton Manor…
May I make a few suggestions? You need surveillance camera‘s. Why you ask? Here’s why:
- When someone on my floor pulls the fire alarm consecutive nights in a row and then run down the hallway and exit up or down the steps, you’ll be able to catch who did it. So I won’t have to regret moving in here while I rock my son back to sleep from being startled by the women on the intercom.
- When someone floods the laundry room and fail (or doesn’t care) to tell maintenance which forces people who wanted to wash their clothes go and track down maintenance to let them know.
- To catch the trifling people who find pleasure in urinating in the hallways and stairways.
- A lot of buildings have hidden cameras on their elevators, for good reason. People get mugged, harassed; killed on elevators. Other people like to vandalize the elevators or hold the elevator open long enough for it to stop working (the person who stays in 209 does this all the time or she rides the elevators all day).
- To catch the even more trifling people who leave their garbage in the stairway instead of walking their nasty behinds down the hall and throwing it down the garbage chute.
- To catch drug activity in the hallways and outside of the accused apartments.
- So when someone leaves a cart full of garbage and just leaves it there, you will know who did it.
- To catch when maintenance does something incriminating because they’re just as crooked as most of the people in this building. They half-ass do their jobs and some of them have this smug attitude that I don’t particularly care for.
Mind you, if they know the camera’s are there then putting them there defeats the purpose. People act like animals in this building and it needs to stop.
Update: I just got an invoice under my door. It states:
Dear Residents,
In the past few weeks there has been an increasing amount of vandalism to The Winton Manor, your home. The Winton Manor Management will continue to maintain a quiet and peaceful living experience for its residents. We are looking for those responsible for the vandalism to The Winton Manor. Let me just say, the black community hold strong onto the ‘no snitching’ rule; which I find to be idiotic. They want the police when someone robs their home but if it ain’t got nothing to do with them, they’re not opening their mouths. They may have seen something but if it’s not causing any pain or discomfort to them then they turn the other way. Ok, I’m going off on a tangent here — back to the matter at hand. It’s sickening that to find the people to come forward, they have to be given something. Things like this shouldn’t be in this building. It’s in downtown Cleveland, Ohio for Pete’s sake! You would think there will be a discrimination when it comes to that. No crack-heads or meth-heads that ride up and down on the elevator or hold/block the elevator so it stays on one floor.
When was the last time the stairways were actually scrubbed and disinfected? You’re worried about LEAD! Hmph! There are more other things that can make a child sick. You can’t make this place a peaceful and quiet experience until you get rid of the problems that’s keeping this place from being quiet and peaceful.
This summer was the worst leaving to and fro from this building. Me and my son were harassed and criticized every time I walked past the loiters that were out front or next to the building. You put up signs that reads “no loitering” but do they read and abide? No they do not. What’s the point? They feel they run the place, what makes you think they’re going to follow rules? They smoked, they made noise, they made 9th and Prospect look like 79th and Cedar. All I could do was shake my head and keep it moving.
The fire alarm is always, always going off. It goes off for 10-15 20-25 minutes every time before someone at the desk comes on and say “false alarm”. One day it’s going to be a catastrophe of a fire in this building, no one is going to take it seriously until they see smoke coming under their door or they have lack of oxygen in their lungs.
I finally saw what I think someone finally working on the freight elevator. That thing have been broken since before I moved in (which was in August). What took you guys so long to fix that? What cheap mechanic did you find this time?
Don’t feel bad, it’s not just here, the apartments out in Euclid, Ohio and probably plenty of other places are like this. I’m not living there though, I’m living here.
Why oh why does the woman who comes on the intercom tell people to not use the elevator when there are people in here who uses wheelchairs? There isn’t a ramp so if there was a fire what you expect them to do? Burn to death? Wait on the firemen to come to their aid and carry all them downstairs on their backs? If I were in a wheelchair and I was looking for affordable place to live, no ramp or other safety precautions available for me to make it downstairs when need be would have made me roll in the other direction.
I know there is a slew of people running around vandalizing the building like little children but there are more pressing matters here. The garbage chute should never be packed…never. It’s contradicting and wastes the person’s time when they come out and spray for roaches. Speaking of that, you seriously need to stop wasting your money. That stuff doesn’t work. COMBAT GEL does. Send out a letter to all the residents in the building to get some combat gel. I know some are hip already. Combat gel cleans them out pretty fast. Put that money you’re wasting on sending out someone to spray on getting a better chute system. It’s ridiculous and disgusting!
There are people in this building that want the same things I want. They want order and they want the vandalism to stop, they want the ignorance to end. I know this will probably never make it to any of you who run or live in this building and I don’t care. I won’t be here no longer than I need to be. Before I leave though, I will be taking photos and posting them here so people don’t think I’m making this crap up.
Sincerely, Asilee
So Cleveland is stressed out eh?
Why do I have this odd sensation of Deja Vu? Ah, oh well. Anyway, Cleveland is stressed out, broke, and edgy. We have sub-par sports teams, downtown looks like the inside of a strip mall; there are more bars and places to eat than there is something to do. But that doesn’t make a city stressful; of course not. So what makes a Cleveland, Ohio so stressful? Well let’s see, we have a failing infrastructure, water bills that make no sense. Areas of the city without water for over 20 hours due to above ground water pipes busting. Poor economy, failing roadways, politicians going to jail. But hey, at least we got a Walmart in Steelyard Commons. Not only that, the citizens in this wonderful city – the vast majority have this huge ass chip on their shoulders.
But enough about that. Let’s look at the positive side here, the Cleveland, Ohio area is one of the easiest places to live in. People are friendly, but not nosy. They know how to be kind, without being invasive. Clevelanders help you, whether they know you or not. They care about you, and look after you, whether they know you or not, also. Clevelanders are approachable, reasonable, and fair. I know some of you may or may not agree with that but we’re different for a reason right?
Now you want to know stressful? Look at Toledo, Ohio. Now, that sucker is a real gem. Toledo should have air balloons in the sky, with writing that says: “We want to be like Detroit, and PROUD of it!” Speaking of Detroit, I wouldn’t wish moving there on my worse enemy. Although, if you want to get out of Cleveland I understand there are some great deals in Gary or Detroit. If folks there aren’t trashy enough for you, try taking your talents to anywhere in Florida where the crack heads all have tans!

Cleveland & Akron Y’all are PATHETIC!
How can you be that upset over LeBron leaving? I mean they had to see it coming if they had any type of sense. He won’t win a ring here. Just because he decided to go with Miami you want to burn the jerseys, call him a traitor, just disrespect him entirely all because you pleaded with him, made downtown Cleveland into a shrine and made signs. No matter where he go; whoever he play with, LeBron will always be from Ohio..Akron…Ohio. Which I wouldn’t want to be the way people are acting like children that didn’t get their way. Y’all are pathetic.
Related: Fans burn jerseys in Lakewood after LeBron announces decision
Ever since LeBron made his decision though, there have been helicopters hovering over my apartment building and they’re pretty close. I live in downtown Cleveland so I’m sure there’s a riot some where.
I knew people were basically gone scream ‘blood murderer!’ when he decided to leave. I knew they were going to cry and make a tantrum and mention his tattoo’s.
A Letter From Cavaliers Majority Owner Dan Gilbert:
Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight;
As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.
This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his “decision” unlike anything ever “witnessed” in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.
Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.
The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.
There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.
You simply don’t deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.
You have given so much and deserve so much more.
In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:
“I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE”
You can take it to the bank.
If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our “motivation” to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.
Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.
Sorry, but that’s simply not how it works.
This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown “chosen one” sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And “who” we would want them to grow-up to become.
But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called “curse” on Cleveland, Ohio.
The self-declared former “King” will be taking the “curse” with him down south. And until he does “right” by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.
Just watch.
Sleep well, Cleveland.
Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day….
I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only:
DELIVERING YOU the championship you have long deserved and is long overdue….
This is a sad testament to a guy that could have done something truly great here if he had any vision. I understand why he did it, but I believe his philosophy in choosing his new team reflects the same philosophy he had in making this “Decision” into such a spectacle.
He is all about Lebron. The idea that he wants to “just win a championship” sounds wonderful, until you look at who he’s winning for. Here’s a clue – it isn’t his adoring fans who provide his paycheck, and it won’t be for Miami fans either. He is a super-talented athlete, but he is also a small-minded individual who probably has genuinely no concept of why Cleveland fans would be angry with him. There is no need though to be cry-babies just like Lebron just because he left.

If the organization is truly competent, then this is a positive thing. The leadership should have learned about what happens when you build a team around one super-ego and instead instills a team culture that shuns the idea of making a rock-star out of one super-talented player. Let’s hope this is the case, because we need a team built around winning championships, not appeasing one spoiled athlete who has shown himself to be the ultimate front-runner who quits and throws a tantrum in a playoff game when he disagrees with the play-calling.
Look how he went about making his decision. He milked it and decided that it should be a big deal by dramatically dragging it out basking in all his undeserved glory. If he knew he was leaving, he should of just made his decision instead of milking the attention.

Honestly Cleveland should not hold any ill will towards LeBron. This is life and you can’t blame the guy for doing something as big as create a dream team in Miami. He gave your city 7 good years of his life and took you to the finals. He busted his ass for Cleveland and how do you repay him, by burning his jersey in the streets. What kind of fans are you people, if that is how you treat people that worked hard to do their best while they played for a team in your city than honestly you deserve never to win anything. Also didn’t you same fans who feel betrayed boo LeBron in his last game in Cleveland during these past NBA playoffs? At the end of the day he has to make the best decision for him and his family and for his career. If you want to be honest with yourselves look at the facts. if he went to Chicago he would have been better off, if he went to the Knicks he would have been better off, but instead he went with the best out of all his options. Get Over it and stop putting blame and hate towards someone who loves where he grew up and loved playing for his hometown for the past 7 years. So what if he doesn’t play there for the next 7, appreciate what you had.

Cleveland, Ohio [The Winton Manor]
Basically this statement says what a lot of tenants are feeling about The Winton Manor.
I reside at the Winton Manor formerly known as The Carter Manor and have resided here for more than 13 years. Sure they have rehabbed the building cosmetically by doing spot repairs and adding a few face plates here and their building is not what it seems. On many days you can go in various public areas and see human secretions in public areas that are also exposed to kids, you will see trash in the stairwells, sometimes in the elevators and in front of tenants units.
If you lived here you will experience children running up and down the halls sometimes hitting on tenants doors and running, tenants playing loud sometimes vulgar music, televisions sometimes are played loud as well as it seems so many tenants have surround sound speakers attached to the televisions.
People have guest who entertain their guest in a tenants unit when the tenant is not home. Some people entertain their guest in the hallways. Many rules are not enforced at this building and the building is not secure – mostly everything printed in The Plain Dealer was a lie, the plain dealer was called and it was requested that a follow-up be done and they refused flat-out. I also noticed that many articles that printed on this building have been censored.
The building has bugs like Ive never seen before, it has been my experience that the management company alters the truth to get move ins and give you hell when trying to get things resolved.
It’s a lot of drama in the building and although the name has changed as did the appearance of the building but it is just as it was when it was the Carter Manor..NOTHING HAS CHANGED! Most of the promises they claimed in the paper were not honored like a computer room, a store, doctors in the building etc.
We have security on site but they only check IDs and that’s it, you can do as yo please and the guards only write complaints and then it’s finished. Management really doesn’t enforce rules or deal with complaints unless you owe them money or unless they want you out.
The building is a joke as are its rules.
We have so many false fire alarms that people often times do not even want to leave their apartments, they have no real evacuation plan or safety alternatives for people who are in wheel chairs – it’s really sad, it was said that we would have new elevators because the old ones would break down a lot – guess what??? we never got the elevators although they did put paneling on the elevator walls to give it a new look but the elevators are not new – money was not spent the way it was printed in the plain dealer or how it was promised to tenants.
People really need to talk about whats really happening in their buildings even if given anonymously.
People have a right to know what they are getting into.
They do not do thorough checks on people because what I have seen it’s like they let anybody in the building.
Sadly, its still like that to this day. This was posted in a forum YEARS ago..and the feelings are in fact mutual except I’m not exactly living here. The fire alarm is going off now but I doubt there’s a fire so I stay where I’m at until the security guard down at the desk gets on the intercom and say there is one. Other than that he’ll usually say “false alarm, all residents please go back to your rooms” but in reality, no one really leaves.
They have YET to make a way for those in wheelchairs or any other type of disability to make it downstairs if there is a fatal fire. The only source is in fact to use the elevators although the fire alarm says don’t use the elevators. They’re risking their lives every day when it goes off because what if there really is a fire and they have no choice but to use the elevators and something happen to them? They shouldn’t have turned this building into a senior/disabled apartment complex because it wasn’t suited for them.
I’m not disabled or anything but before they changed it this place to for Seniors and the disabled, it was for everyone. So there are still people here before they changed it. I just feel sorry for the people who live here and hope something changes.
As for the elevators mentioned in his statement, they were never changed. Earlier this year they took out the tiling and threw down carpet. Well someone urinated in the elevator and they have yet to clean that out. Why they went from tiling to carpet I’ll never know. But I guess since people don’t know how to take care of where they lay their heads and most of the people in this building are in fact nasty, they just left it there. Says a lot about their character though. I mean in the area where they have their parties and other meetings, someone stole the flat screen out of there. How they got away with it when there were “camera’s” I’ll never know but from the looks of things, people don’t care about anything but themselves. I hope things change!
So what that Joakim Noah Bashed Cleveland!

Cleveland is, I don’t know about Cleveland, man. I mean there is nothing going on around here, man. The streets are kind of bare. It’s bad, man, it’s bad”
I mean come on! Its not like he wasn’t telling the truth. Cleveland, is a ghost town. There isn’t shit to do here and the crime rate is through the roof. They just closed over 18-20 schools, more jobs are leaving, and the only thing people have anything looking forward to is Lebron James, which I hope leaves.
Then the former Florida Gator then decided to take his disrespect for Cleveland another step further. When a reporter inquired about the possible backlash from Cleveland fans and asked, ”but doesn’t that motivate you a little bit?”
Noah’s response was,”What, that Cleveland sucks?”
I would have to say that was pretty hilarious. If you can’t laugh at yourself…ah you know the saying. I don’t understand why Cleveland is so pissy about what Joakim Noah said when the Bulls has lost twice to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and I’m only saying that because they are doing far better than the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Browns. Maybe they should just sit back and let the Fagaliers take care of Joakim Noah shit talking. Yes, that’s right, I never liked the Cavaliers and I won’t start now. Some say that Joakim Noah is desperate to win so his snide remarks would be “justifiable”. Honestly they are justifiable, some people just can’t take the truth. Cleveland sucks and I should know because I live in the heart of Downtown Cleveland. There is no nightlife, and if you don’t drink you mind as well go home and take your ass to sleep.
Why do anybody want to stay in this city or surrounding areas? People are moving out like greased lightning and soon I’ll be following suit. There should be a lot more to do downtown besides the Rock and Roll hall of Fame and the Great Lakes Science Center but what can you expect from a city that pins all its hope on revitalizing downtown by driving out all the businesses that help draw people to downtown for a few bars and clubs that aren’t even open til evening?
Isn’t it already well known that no one really likes Joakim Noah or do I have someone other shit talking NBA player mixed up with him? I think even a blind man can see that this character is trying to get in the Guinness World Record‘s for the most hated NBA player ever; more power to the clown.
Hell, look at the Cleveland Browns, they can’t stay out of jail to save their lives. Every other month to a week, one of them is in jail. So right on Joakim Noah, its about time someone said it!

So according to Forbes, Cleveland Ranks #1 as the most ‘Miserable City’…

[Click here for America's 20 Most Miserable Cities]
Well I would have to agree…
Residents of the Mistake by the Lake endure brutal winters, high crime and a tortured sports history. They are voting with their feet as the net migration out of the metro area was 71,000 over the past five years.
I mean come on, The Cleveland Cavaliers has been here since the 1970′s and they haven’t even won a championship. Although they aren’t the only ones that haven’t but this isn’t about them. The Browns; Lets not talk about the Browns, I don’t even want to get started on them. I live in Downtown Cleveland I must say it beats staying in the ghetto for sure. Even though at times walking through Tower City is like riding up and down St. Clair/Superior; especially on 105. I just know when I move out of Ohio, I won’t be looking back, ever.
This video below just about sums up everything I have to say about Cleveland, Ohio.

The Funniest Shit I’ve Read All Morning
CLEVELAND — Police arrested a Parma man for a string of robberies that happened on January 14.Anthony Collier, 54, was charged with one count of aggravated robbery and two counts of robbery.Police said Collier walked into a Shell gas station on Albrecht Avenue and got a cup of coffee.
He had one hand in his pocket, acting like he had a gun, and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk refused and he only got away with the cup of coffee. Only 10 minutes later, police said Collier went into a McDonald’s on East Market Street and acted the same way.
When the employee refused to give him money, he tried to open the drawer himself. The register didn’t open and he fled.Police said Collier was able to grab $40 from the Circle K on West Market Street. The clerk followed him out of the store and demanded the money back. Collier gave the money back to the clerk and got into his car.
I’m sorry [not really] if you read this and didn’t find it funny; I didn’t say it would be funny to you, its funny to me. Its early and I haven’t been to sleep yet because of this sharp pain in my abdomen. So I needed to find something to put a smile on my face. He has got to be the dumbest robber in Cleveland right now.

18 Schools Are to be Closed Here in Cleveland
Only 54% of the kids in the Cuyahoga school district are graduating from school. That’s a very low percentage and is why the 18 schools are being closed and a lot of teachers are being laid off so Eugene Sanders say. I’m sure there are a lot of parents that are pretty upset about this decision. Especially those who live close to that school and now have to find means of transportation to get them to a school that’s farther away.
Who is at fault for 54% of the children graduating from school? Some say its the lazy parents who don’t push their kids to learn or to actually go to school. Others say its the kids that don’t want to learn so they do what they want in school, if they even get inside the school doors. Most say that its teachers and the lack of care from the teachers. Who knows what’s true or not? The thing is this, 18 schools are going to close here, a couple years back I believe 15 schools were closed and 5-6 were demolished and all that is left is an empty lot. My city where I lay my head is becoming more of a place where dreams go to die instead of place where dreams go to live and to thrive.
I don’t understand how closing all of these schools, stuffing kids in already over accumulated classrooms is going to help the issue. If anything its going to make it worse. The icing on the cake though is RTA and its ‘budget cut’. They’re shutting down a lot of routes here which will infact cause people to lose their jobs and or drop out of school. The reason to that is because the lack of ridership and they’re trying to get out of debt. In the meantime while they’re worrying about their financial woes, people won’t be able to get to here and there without them. If anything, ridership should be rising as soon as the schools are closed. Especially if most of the kids are being sent to one specific school where there’s a bus route.
I’m truly feeling sorry for the people of Cleveland, Ohio because the kids that want to learn aren’t being acknowledged at all. They’re being stuck on the back burner and probably will be thrown into a worse predicament than it was before their original school closed. I’m sure there will be a rise in home-schooling and other means of educating children come this June or sooner. Here I thought it was bad when I was still in High School. Worse has yet to come.
Getting a Tarantula as a pet
I’ve always loved spiders, tarantulas especially. My thing is getting the food for the tarantula. I stay in downtown Cleveland, let alone Ohio where all the stores and everything are closing and moving leaving. I could breed food for the tarantula like cockroaches but its something about them that makes me want to run and hide under my covers. My point is, there isn’t a pet store to even get my tarantula from for at least 500 miles let alone food for my tarantula. I’ve been wanting a tarantula as a pet since I was 12 years old. I find them very cool.
Then there is getting the tank, the soil/substrate etc. My choice of spider that I’m thinking about getting is either the Mexican Redleg [Brachypelma emilia] or the Chaco Golden Knee Tarantula [Grammostola aureostriata or Grammostola pulchripes]. What people have been telling me is that I should get spiderlings instead of an adult tarantula. Especially if I were to get a male because being that the male lifespan is a lot shorter than that of a females. I could have the male for 2 months and he could die. Which in fact makes sense. I don’t want to buy $30-$40 for an adult tarantula that just dies a month later.
I think tarantulas are beautiful and I think besides a cat; a tarantula would be the perfect pet for me. I’ve done a lot of research on the two types of tarantula that I’m interested in so I’m well aware of what to do and not to do. I just know if I ever get around to going to a pet store, I’m sure to have a lot of questions for the pet owner. What I’m not sure of is some people saying that heat rocks and heating pads are not good for the tarantula because tarantulas like to burrow and if the heating pad is under the tank it can ‘fry’ or ‘kill’ the tarantula. Others are saying that’s the best bet if you live in less warmer climates year around because the temperature in the room would not be enough for the spider to be comfortable especially around the molting stage in that tarantula’s life. So if you have a tarantula or had one, feel free to comment with some helpful tips. I would be grateful.

ClevelandSwag.com is the most Ugliest Representation of Cleveland I’ve Ever Seen!
First off when you first visit the site you have to adjust your eyes to the colors chosen for the site, then you have to get past the part where it says “F*@K THE HATERS!” then to enter the site you have to click “Get your cle SWAG on”. First of all, swag in “urban” terminology is:
To have your own style. [According to what my readers have told me].
How in the hell does Cleveland as a city of Ohio have “swag”? I don’t know but I know if you’re going to represent Cleveland in such a manner, don’t make a whole site about it making Cleveland, Ohio look bad. It looks bad by itself, it doesn’t need to be in the form of a poorly done site. Speaking of which, on the site some if not most of the links are nonoperational. The header of the site says “Untitled”. It look like it was made by some deranged gang member. Oh, but let me tell you what ClevelandSwag.com is all about…
Cleveland Swag.com is your new favorite website. [O'RLY?! You know that how?]
Cleveland Swag.com is the site that’s about to kick your ass, so brace yourselves! [Yea okay, the only thing that's going to be kicked is me kicking myself in the ass for finding that site.]
Cleveland Swag is a PRO CLEVELAND website. [It needs to be aborted.]
We have formed to serve two purposes: [This site has no purpose.]
1) To force Clevelanders to get their swag on and start representing their city. [Define swag and less and that's what this site is.]
2) To slap the taste out of our haters’ mouths. [Yea, you're really going to do that online.]
And speaking of haters, we’re starting with the sissy, pantywaist losers who live here that have no love for their own city. [Why does it matter to you about what others think about where they lay their head?]
Some of you bitches need a good old-fashioned pimp-slap, and Cleveland Swag.com is more than happy to deliver. [Yea you're going to hand deliver pimp-slaps via internet]
The days of people dissing Cleveland are over. Belee dat! [WTF? All Clevelanders don't talk like that!]
I feel like I’m getting ahead of myself, so let’s back up a minute. [The moment you entertained and pursued the idea of making this site you was ahead of yourself.]
The idea of representing Cleveland is there but the purpose is all wrong. It lacks structure and it makes Cleveland look even more ridiculous. The character even had the nerve to advertise his website on Cleveland.com. The nerve of this jokester.
Are you tired of the sorry Clevelanders who sit around year after year and dwell over our “bad luck” in sports, even though one of the most famous, amazing basketball players in the world is from here and plays for our team? [So having a good player automatically diminishes all the supposedly "bad luck"? & the Cleveland Cavaliers still lose. Come Summer 2010 there won't be no more Lebron James and good riddens for that. He can't show his true potential with a half-ass team like the Cavaliers.]
If you live here and you enjoy sports I don’t think getting tired of the Cleveland Browns, the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Cavaliers forever losing is considered “dwelling”. The hockey team we had was better than all three of those put together.
This “creator” of ClevelandSwagless.com is “tired” of Clevelanders and their “low self-esteem” well honestly if its that bad, don’t make a website that’s really nothing but a bunch of bullshit, just move the hell out of Ohio. Really would anyone want this character representing all of Cleveland? If it was up to this person, we would be the laughing stock of the nation. We already have a sharing title of one of the poorest cities in the nation, lets not make it worse K?\
Also if he/she was going to post links to other sites, at least allow them to be operational. What’s the point in saying “click here” when you really have to copy and paste? There’s also an interview section for people he feel that are famous in Cleveland or people he “feel like” interviewing but yet, there are NO interviews. Then it goes on by saying that if any celebrities [or people who need a career boost] just so happen to stumble across that site and would like to get an interview is to contact them. Well apparently they’re “swamped”. The site has been up for a while so they can’t be too “swamped”.
Well if I need a few laughs because my day was shitty, I know exactly where to go. ClevelandSwassg.com.
Update 10-20-11: Well, I don’t know when it happened but it happened. The site is down.
The Good; The Bad; & The Ugly in Cleveland, Ohio
Cleveland Ohio is where I reside and I have to say, there’s more ugly and bad about Cleveland, Ohio than there is good. I guess I can get the good out of the way since the list is going to be so short.
The Good
The Cleveland Orchestra
Long considered one of America’s great orchestras, The Cleveland Orchestra stands today among the world’s most-revered symphonic ensembles. In concerts at home in Severance Hall, each summer as part of the Blossom Festival, in residencies from Miami to Vienna, and on tour around the world, The Cleveland Orchestra continues to set standards of artistic excellence, imaginative programming, and community engagement.
The Health Museum
Which is now called The Cleveland Museum of Natural History. [Which has now moved]
Today, the Museum is considered one of the finest institutions of its kind in North America. Its mission emphasizes scientific research, conservation and education.
The Museum offers an extraordinary visitor experience. Permanent exhibits of special interest include the 3 million-year-old human ancestor Australopithecus afarensis, known as “Lucy,” and the 150 million-year-old Haplocanthosaurus delfsi, one of the most complete mounted sauropods on display anywhere in the world.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Museum
Every year, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum welcomes visitors from all 50 states and 100 countries the world over. Since we opened our doors in 1995, seven million visitors have toured the Rock Hall. We’ve worked hard to live up to our reputation as the preeminent home for the celebration and study of rock and roll music. With a full calendar of exciting events and an amazing array of exhibits filled with painstakingly preserved and creatively displayed artifacts, this is the ultimate place to learn about rock and roll and how it continues to shape our lives.
Cleveland Metroparks Zoo
The oldest park district in Ohio, the Cleveland Metropolitan Park District was born in 1917, the initiative of a young, self-taught engineer who had conceived the idea of an outer chain of parks with connecting boulevards some 12 years earlier. William Stinchcomb’s genius was to anticipate the future need for open space at a time when Cuyahoga County outside of Cleveland was still largely rural. From a few scattered donations of land in the Rocky River Valley, the Park District grew to embrace some of the most scenic areas of Greater Cleveland.
I can’t think of anything else good about Cleveland. Oh but the bad and the ugly? I have plenty to list about that.
The Bad
The Cleveland RTA Healthline
Welcome to RTA’s HealthLine. Or maybe you remember it as The Euclid Corridor? Yep – We got a new name – thanks to a partnership from the Cleveland Clinic and University Hospital. And to make good on the name, the HealthLine is helping lead (okay, “drive”) the rebirth of Euclid Avenue. After all, this sleek rapid transit line isn’t just moving passengers from places like Public Square to University Circle in 12 minutes flat. It’s moving our economy toward numbers like $4.3 billion in economic development. Not to mention, making our city a little greener, thanks to hybrid technology and 1,500 new trees (no wonder that little bird is so happy). So hop on board. And see how the RTA HealthLine truly is pumping new life into Cleveland.
Not only is it [the bus stops or stations] sitting in the middle of the street but its an eye sore and dangerous. The way this was designed and made was really careless. People who are in cars have to stay out of the buses lane or get their ears blown out by these loud bus horns if you don’t move. Then the lane next to the bus only lane that’s the left turn only lane, you have to wait til the buses go by to make a left turn. That’s not what makes it dangerous though. Its in the middle of the street. I’ve seen children who has climbed down from that platform or sit on the edge because their parents are too careless to watch them. People end up running in the street to catch a bus instead of running on the sidewalk to catch the bus.
The Construction
I think I’ve seen more construction in Cleveland than anything else. I don’t think the crime rate in Cleveland is on the same level as construction and that’s saying a damn lot. The CAC or the Cleveland Athletic Club ended up closing because of the mass construction that was done while it was open. People who joined this club couldn’t get to it because of all the construction. You couldn’t park any where! They had to close because lack of members joining, returning, or coming because of the eye sore of those dreadful orange cones; amongst other reasons.
The Tower City Mall, Theater and Amphitheater
With over 100 specialty shops, six full-service restaurants, 11-screen theater, Time Warner Cable Amphitheater at Tower City, 2 Hotels and easy access through our connected walkway to Progressive Field and Quicken Loans Arena, Tower City is your downtown choice to shop, dine, play and stay!
Yea, it might sound all good and what not but who wants to dine, play and stay right above a damn rapid station? The whole first two floors of this used to be subway/train station shakes uncontrollably. Even the movie theater looks like it hasn’t even been remodeled since the 1900′s. The seats are hard, the floor sticks to your shoes, the screen’s quality look like Zenith floor model televisions with a bulb gone out in it. [Do Zenith even exist any more?] Not only that, you get harassed by the flash light cops for your identification. Yes you have to be a certain age to be on certain floors or in certain parts of the mall. If you don’t and you put up a fuss, you will get arrested by 5-0 which patrols the mall like they don’t have anything better to do. Oh yea, the front of the building is an eye sore; it always smell like hot piss and beer no matter what the season. There are gates and other construction crap for your enjoyment. It looks like a concert is about to start everyday.
The Lack of Jobs & Opportunities
Well that’s for almost every major city on the east coast. Here though? The unemployment rate is almost 10.0. We got people who say they’re hiring, but aren’t actually hiring. Even McDonald’s and other fast food restaurants here are picky about who they hire. I don’t know if its like this any where else but here you have to have a high-school diploma or a GED to work at a fast food restaurant. If you don’t have that then you’re not working there.
The Cleveland Browns
Need I say more? The Cleveland Browns are a disgrace to the NFL. When was the last time they won ANYTHING? How many coaches has The Cleveland Browns had? I’ve lost count. I mean don’t like them or The Cavaliers. I don’t like The Cleveland Browns because they suck. The Cavaliers, I never liked them and I’m not going to start.
I guess I can start on the ugly now. I think that’s enough of the bad. I have to go and do the good over on a later date because I believe I’ve forgotten a few good things about Cleveland.
The Ugly
The Citizens
Man you would think this was back when there were separate bathrooms, restaurants and water fountains for different races as racist as these people are here. Then we got those who feel that they think they are safer on the West Side of Cleveland than the East Side of Cleveland. They fail to realize; East or West its STILL CLEVELAND. They get to bashing and downing people that they have no means of knowing at all.
The Mayor
He has no clue to what he want to do. He as corrupted as them folks that the FBI bombarded in on because they were taking tax payers money and buying large houses, cars, and other expensive shit they could of bought on their own salary. The crime rate went up the moment he stepped into office. I mean hell his niece or whatever was dating a convict and when it came down to it, she was a convict as well. No need to tell me that I voted for him, because I didn’t. I think I was 17 when he got into office so I couldn’t vote anyway.
The Cleveland Clinic
They are on my ugly list because they are so damn greedy. They buy out all these businesses, knock down all these rec’s, throw up this big dumb ass pond or parking garage(s) that they don’t need all because they can. Its like they don’t give a shit. They want to take everyone’s business or recreation center and turn into a vacant lot for years until they decide on what they want to do with it. Cleveland Clinic may be one of the best Hospitals in the nation but damn, come on everything shouldn’t be based on how many facilities or parking garages you can throw up in a years time.
The Crime
Hell that’s ugly wherever you go. Not just here. The rate is atrocious and this was before the recession got as bad as it got. Back in 2002 people were shooting up RTA buses on Halloween for no apparent reason so can’t blame on something as petty as the recession. That’s everyone’s excuse to everything. “My dog got cancer of the eyes because of the recession.” Blah!
I guess I can finish this later. I had a stroke in my arm due to my high blood-pressure a while back and my whole left arm is still sore [it was minor but enough to piss me off]. That’s why I haven’t been online or blogging [not that any one cares or anything]. So yea, I’ll finish this later.

Teen who killed mother over video game sentenced to 23 years to life
ELYRIA — A northeast Ohio teen who shot and killed his mother and wounded his minister father has been sentenced to 23 years to life in prison.
Defendant Daniel Petric shook his head slightly, sniffled and held back tears during his sentencing Tuesday in Elyria. He did not address Lorain County Common Pleas Judge James Burge.
Petric was convicted of shooting his parents in October 2007 after they took the game “Halo 3” away from him.
The judge had said the 17-year-old was so obsessed over a video game that he may have believed that, like the characters in the game, death wasn’t real. The defense claims the teen’s age and addiction to the game made him less responsible.
“He was playing it for up to 18 hours a day or more,” said James Kersey, defense attorney. “He was without food. Very little sleep. And then he comes home and instead of going to sleep he starts searching the house and looks for the video game. Just like an addict would look for drugs.”
In the video game, players shoot alien monsters that have taken over the Earth.
Prosecutors believe Petric’s actions show he knew reality from fantasy.
“This is not the case of a drug fiend’s stash being taken away,” said Anthony Cillo, deputy prosecuting attorney. “They take away the video game before he’s had a chance to play it. You can’t be addicted to what you haven’t played yet.”
Burge tried Petric as an adult and found him guilty in January of aggravated murder, attempted aggravated murder and other charges.
During sentencing, Burge said that because tests show Petric is not mentally ill and without the anti-social behavior typical with other juvenile crime, the court is convinced that video game addiction played a part in Petric’s violent rage.
“He didn’t run away from home and he didn’t torture small animals,” Burge said. “He didn’t fight with his parents and wasn’t a bully. He wasn’t a predator at all until (his game was taken away) and then everything changed.”

Hastily Made Cleveland Tourism Video: 2nd Attempt
This was sent to me by a friend of mine, his name is Terrance and felt that this would be my favorite song/video of all time. Well the best part about this is the “We’re not Detroit” part. Which they are in fact #1 for the most dangerous city this year once again. I don’t like Ohio let alone Cleveland, hell I call the Cleveland Cavaliers the Cleveland Fagaliers because I don’t like them either. I haven’t liked them since grade school and because they have a golden boy isn’t going to make me change my mind. I like the Boston Celtics. Anyway, also I’m not saying Cleveland is better than Detroit or worse than Detroit or is Detroit, hell if it was though, I wouldn’t want famous people to perform here being that in Detroit people get mauled, robbed or jumped when they perform there well anyone famous anyway. Haha Detroit sucks XD!
Watch the video though.
Hastily Made Cleveland Tourism Video: 2nd Attempt

Citizens of Cleveland Ohio worry about the wrong things
Here in Cleveland Ohio when people listen, watch, or read about bad news they always start with “Only on the East Side“. Well since you individuals never leave your damn house, how do you think such stupid things? You think you’re safe on the West? Hell the North or the South, these things happen regardless where you’re at or what color you are. Most of these fools who mention which side it happened on is White. They say they aren’t racist but they are cause that’s all they worry about is the blacks on the East Side. This tragic event that has happened Thursday, if you want to read about it, click the links below, the only thing that a few people could say was that the blacks from the East Side was making their way to the West Side. Cleveland, Ohio is still #7 on the list of most dangerous cities. It doesn’t say which side of Cleveland, its Cleveland period. I don’t know when or how this war with the Crime rate for the West and East side’s of Cleveland but these fools who don’t want to look at the fact that people have died, 5 innocent people have died cause of one man have issues.
Shit like that disgusts me because that’s all they see is what color was they and what side of the city it happened on. What the fuck is that? How the fuck do you sleep at night when all you can sit and say is, “It only happens on the East, that’s where all the ignorant black folks are“? You pompous buffoon it all changes when something bad happens to you. When The Cleveland Plain Dealer make a article about something that has happen to you, you want justice regardless of where it happened or who did it. No but the shoe isn’t on that foot for you, its on the what side of Cleveland it happened on foot. It could be the most tragic shit ever and all these racists bastards can think of which side of Cleveland it happened on the skin pigment of the culprit(s) who did it.
It was a shooting down here where I live which is Downtown Cleveland and yet again they found a way to turn on the color issue. Yea they were colored and the people they shot and the one they killed were Latino and Caucasian. That can happen any where in Cleveland, let alone Ohio. I don’t know what it is with these civilians here but they need to get a got damn grip. Or shut they simple-minded asses up or better yet just move.
A few comments that were made about this whole ordeal was toward Obama. The hell for? Obama didn’t make him shoot his family he sure as hell didn’t give him the gun. Obama just got in office and yet people are blaming him for these deaths. When they have no one to point the finger at they get reckless. Some of these idiots who are commenting needs to be aborted. Yea, its never too late.
I will post print screen shots of the fools making these comments. A few were deleted by the author of those articles cause they were out right ignorant. One of them were “Those don’t sound like West Side people names“. The fuck kind of bullshit you smoking? That’s the dumbest shit of the year.

Then we got ignorant fucks who applaud in this type of shit. He needs to be dealt with too. His state of mind will take him out sooner or later.
