A Christian e-mailed me and had this to say to me…

God is punishing you because you do not believe in his divine ways. Repent and your life will be in turmoil no longer. All you have to do is give in to God and all your prayers and problems will be answered. God hates you because you hate him.

If that’s the case, God is a big ass kid having a temper tantrum if it’s “punishing” me because I don’t believe in it. I have to question the Christians that’s constantly chastising me if they ever think before making that choice to question me. I’m sure there are plenty of Atheists out there that they can pester and annoying the hell out of me isn’t going to change how I feel.

Yes my life could be better, but its not. Am I going to blame it on my Atheism? No, that’s an excuse. I don’t regret being an Atheist and that would be the only reason why an Atheist would actually blame it on their lifestyle of not having a deity to answer to would do. It pretty much pisses me off when some Christian is bickering to me about what I should do to in order to change my life around. To me when Christians say that it just proves one major point to me, they look to the sky to win the lottery, to pay their bills, to get a job, to wish death upon someone because of a rocky marriage due to an affair. You catch my drift. I get through life on my own, I don’t need some imaginary ‘being’ to look up to and talk to when shit hits the fan. Religion is for cowards, nothing more to it. If anything, its a cop-out to those who make it as such as well.

Hell, when you are asked to be questioned by a lawyer and judged by a jury, before all of that you have to swear on the Holy Bible. Why? Because of fear, yes that’s right; fear. Yet people still lie on that book of horrors anyway because in actuality it doesn’t mean squat. I don’t want to get into that, I’ll save that for another blog.

My grandmother prayed day in and day out for her son to get better [he had prostate cancer] but did he get better? No, he died and I lost an uncle. She prayed for her granddaughter to stop being so conniving and mean but is she any less meaner or conniving? No, she’s a lot worse and she gets worse as she gets older. Praying does nothing so when a Christian tells me to repent and to pray [basically revert back to being a non-believing Christian] you’re basically telling me to get my hopes up for nothing.

I can get my ass out of my own problems, I don’t need a book of lies and contradictions to live by. So it would be great if the Christians that read these blogs [which in fact has a category of its own that you have to click on to read] that get offended, leave a idiotic statement or message me directly, could kiss my ass. Stop hovering over this blog so damn much. The world is still spinning and you’re still a Christian as well as I am still an Atheist.

People are going to argue that Island Paradise is a free game and that people can only get so much for free. But 100,000 for a poinsettia? You have got to be kidding me. I’m only at level 21 with just a little bit over $100,000. It take forever to level up at that.

Island Paradise is a great game. Come on, when you go down for maintenance, what are they maintaining? People are plowing and seeding but when they come back its not there and their money is gone when they put down seeds or harvest their crops. I’m still not understanding…$100,000 for a poinsettia?

Its quite hilarious when you think about it because its so many people complaining about the snow on the game. Especially people who aren’t Americans. They’re saying that “we don’t have snow here so my island isn’t much of a paradise with all this snow. Everything doesn’t have to be so USA!” Then there are people who are the unlucky ones and live where snow falls and they’re complaining about how the snow is ruining their “getaway” from the snow. The only good idea about this who rant was that maybe they should of gave people an option to have snow or not. Also, this animal limit is ridiculous. Look how many animals I have in my inventory. Some say that its hard to tell when their animals are ready to be “harvested” because of the snow. [If you play the game you'll know what I'm talking about]

That’s right…38 animals that I can’t even use. This game mind as well be a, “pay to play” game because all of the good sensible items cost ‘meteor cash’. Those who actually buy meteor cash need to realize that you don’t have to use your real money to get it. If this game was like FarmVille over at Zynga games then this game would be awesome.

Anyway, I was just bored so I decided to blog about this. It means no never mind to me as far as everything except the poinsettia goes. That is just hilariously ridiculous.

I’ve been asking myself for a very long time. When I’m around toddlers, infants, any child below 6 years of age they seem drawn to me. They reach out to me, they start crying hysterically when I leave the room when their mothers are sitting right next to them. Often times kids cling on to my pant legs and hang on to dear life if they get the chance. I don’t do or say anything to these kids, its the moment they see me its a done deal, they are going to try and find a way to cling to me until their mothers come and get them.

I have a family friend who had two kids, they’re like 8 and 6 now but when Makala was like 1 or 2 years old I remember sitting down next to her when she was in her car seat and she was sleep at the time and I decide to get up to go do something, I forget what it was, she woke up crying and reaching for me when I got up. I don’t look anything like her mother. I had to take her out of her car seat and sit her on my lap so she can stop crying. Don’t get me wrong, I can tolerate kids and when they laugh it just melts my heart; almost bring a tear to my eye. Its just that kids seem oddly attached to me and I only have to be around them one time. I remember this other time my friend I mentioned before took me over her Aunt’s house and she had a baby. Well her baby followed me around the house the whole time. They would watch and laugh at how she would crawl after me once I left the room. Good thing they had carpet down because I can usually sit down and not have to get up when I’m nervous but for some reason that day I had to keep getting up and stay moving.

Maybe I’m just paranoid or maybe kids can see something about me that I can’t. I don’t know but the child could have never seen me before and they would want me to hold them and smile at me and fall asleep in my lap. I’m not a kid expert but are kids that comfortable with total complete strangers? I don’t know but I don’t think they are. I’ve asked this to a few relatives and they don’t understand it either. They’ve seen these odd occurrences happen to me as well and they find it funny; I find it interesting, not funny. I’m not a communicative type of person and I truly don’t know what to do with a child that is sitting on my lap smiling at me and tugging on my ear.

My best friend told me that I should be happy that kids love me because when I have mine they’ll think I’m superwoman to them. Well sadly, the last time I went to the doctor, he told me I’ll never be able to have my own children. I should be sad but its not the end of the world. I never really wanted children so I guess its not a total loss.

I just need an idea to why kids look at me like I’m a character from Sesame Street and..dare I say it…Blues Clues. They have this “oooooh” look on their face when they’re reaching to grab my pant leg. It gets intense when I go to pick them up. They try to cuddle so deep into my arm it gets out right weird. What’s even more odd they aren’t hopping around or fidgeting around when I pick them up, I just sit them down on my lap and they look up at me and smile and try to grab my chin…with their mouth. I should try to stay away from kids when they’re teething; it shouldn’t be hard.

There have been suggestions that I work at a day care. The other workers there would love to get a break because all the kids would do is sit around me and look at me like I’m a huge bottle of cold milk; or a large teething toy.

For a while I found it adorable, cute even but that’s no longer the case. It seems it gets worse as I age.

Just thinking about them laugh though is making my day better. Whoever can sit and listen to a babies laughter and not feel the urge to laugh themselves has no soul. You cannot deny the sound of a child’s laughter, its impossible.

Well, I guess that’s all I have to say about this subject…if anyone have answers, feel free to enlighten me.

Due to one of my readers [xtina] and a lot of others who have had this problem, I decided to give out this little piece of information that might help people in the future when they can’t modify their Sim’s traits when they’re in CAS.

Usually you can actually save a copy of the Sim to the computer before modifying the traits [make sure you make it the way you want as far as favorite color, food, music and your Sims, voice, appearance before doing this because you're limited once you select the check and you want to go back and change anything by going to a mirror]. There is the cheat [testingcheatsenabled true] that you can use to modify your Sims traits later on in the game. You will have to of course make that [Sim or Sims] an active household.

Click on her/his picture at the bottom of the screen where it looks like this “…” [while you're in CAS mode] and  where it says, “save Sim to bin” click that and your Sim will be in the bin. So now that its in the bin you can restart the game, go into edit town mode, put the Sim in a house [that you just made]. Then click “Choose Household” [make sure you remember where you put your Sim] and she/he should be on the right of the screen. Click the check mark at the bottom right and that Sim will be your Sim to play with. Now type in the cheat I just mentioned exactly the way it is minus the “[]” by selecting Ctrl+Shift+C, press enter then hold Shift+Click on the Sim and there should be something that says, “modify traits for Sim”. Select whatever 5 traits you want your Sim to have. Then whatever your Sims traits are now [if it worked] your Sims Lifetime Achievement should pop up in your wishes, eventually.

After a few experiments, I have come to realization that The Sims 3 works best without updates and patches. The game doesn’t crash; there are no stretchy Sims; the game runs smoothly. But the moment I add one update, the game crashes to desktop with no warning after 1 hour of game-play.

The latest update v1.7/2.2 is not recommended if you don’t have The Sims 3: World of Adventures Expansion Pack. The basement feature they added with this update leaves the map looking something like this both aerial and ground view:

This is highly frustrating because it doesn’t load the lots no matter how long you wait. You also have to reinstall the game entirely. Luckily, I found a site where you can download all the older updates [which are a hit and miss as well] separately so you can have the updates you want and the ones you don’t. Just click here.

Hopefully whenever they fix the latest patch which is needed due to a lot of people getting the “error 16″ message when trying to save. They’ll have the basement feature in order. I honestly don’t believe The Sims 2 had this many errors and in a way The Sims 2 is a lot better. Sims 2 had half walls, spiral stairs, better mods, etc.

Once again as I have said before back around June of this year, The Sims 3 World Adventures Expansion Pack has been like a game of Russian Roulette with some if not most gamers. Here is another list of bugs and errors that has been plaguing The Sims 3 and now the expansion pack:

• Error code 16 causing people to have to close their game after trying to save numerous times. Causing the gamer to open it back up to find that there is no playable Sim.
• Basement update [Patch v1.7/2.2] causes map to have large blue blocks where lots are supposed to be.
• Expansion Pack causes Sunset Valley and or Riverview to be unplayable.
• Sims are still disappearing.
• An option to” save” or “save as” is no longer an option.

I can no longer switch active households with the current family I’m playing. I found this out because I was trying to switch to my Sims family lot to see if one of them could move their father’s tombstone to the ground. When I try to switch, all I get is a view of the neighborhood without any options.”

• Food spoiling almost immediately.

When I go to place a tent, if there isn’t anyplace to put it down, I can’t let it go, it just stays there waiting to be placed; can’t even stick it back in my inventory.

• Can’t take photo of Town Theatre.
• Painting skill restarts every time gamer returns to work on a painting in progress.
• Babies don’t sleep until they’re near exhaustion.
• The relationship bar isn’t progressing between parents and baby, no matter how many times they chat.

I noticed whenever one of my characters has both gardening and fishing skills eventually they cannot fish or use the grocery store. They can still fish or shop on vacation.

While I was in China with a male Sim, he flirted and had a ‘first kiss’ with one of the local ladies. When he got home he had a son in his family tree. It’s not a baby. Its a full grown child.

The most annoying bug I get is the inability to talk to anyone. All relationships are lost in the friends panel, and no one is friendly anymore. I created a new SIM, and have not allowed him to talk to anyone in Sunset. So far he hasn’t lost his foreign friends yet.

My Sim has level 10 in handiness. After performing an upgrade [to only good fortune] on the fortune cookie machine, the skill journal for handiness goes blank and is not selectable. I’ve tried upgrades on other stuff and there is no issue.

• Sims ages reset when using the dresser and/or mirror.
• Tombs don’t reset for new Sims.
• Cannot complete the quest after finding Pangu’s Axe, when it says “deliver item” although the girl “Lin” is there I cannot deliver it to her. When I click deliver item the square in the queue comes up with no face it is blank and it clicks off. Although I will go back to China to try again.
• Can no longer switch Active Households.
• Empty random cars parked on the road that cannot be removed.
• Completing opportunities is not an option.
• After coming back from a trip, all the Sims seem to be rearranged.
• Marrying foreigners does not become a part of the family and you cannot control them.
• Sims “washes away” wine almost immediately after being served.
• Basement tool doesn’t work in existing houses that have pools even if the gamer remove the pool. It crashes to desktop.
• Pagoda roof styles don’t work properly in my build mode. If the gamer remove the any existing roofs and use auto on with a Pagoda roof style the roof vanishes. If the gamer turn roofs auto off and use another style before the pagoda it ignores the pagoda style change. If the gamer remove  any existing roofs and use auto off with a Pagoda roof style it works.
• Sim travels to other lands; the pictures of her friends and family all revert back an age.

When I send my Sims on vacation, nobody arrives in the foreign country; no portraits, no sign of life, no nothing. I can’t even get back, because there’s nobody there to have a vacation, so the ‘vacation’ never ends.

• Sim has a blank portrait when returning from vacation, it lists the Sim’s name but the Sim’s portrait is just a green square. Still listed in household but can’t find Sim anywhere or control him.
• Wife Sim no longer can interact with any other Sims and they act like shes not there. She can only use the mean interaction on them.
• Can’t feed or look after baby. Because of this all bars red, social worker comes but he just stands outside 24/7.

Can no longer sleep no matter how tired or how many times I send her to bed she just gets up again and is always exhausted and miserable.

• Car no longer picks Sim up for work and Sim can’t go to work as it’s sort of like the Sim doesn’t exist, even though the gamer can move the Sim around and take Sim to libraries etc.
• Can no longer collect mail from letter box even when it has the mail icon over it.

When I buy things like the martial arts training stuff it won’t show up in my inventory but books and food and such does. It’s just the stuff like the training dummy, the nectar maker, fortune cookie press, etc.

Sim Children go off to school, they never actually make it into the school. They all just stand outside the front door and appear like they intend to go in, but they just stand there for the whole school day, looking stupid. It says they are skipping school when I go to their job education tab, but they aren’t! They just can’t get in! And It’s not just my Sims. All the neighborhood Sim kids are standing out front looking dumb too.

For an opportunity, my Sim needs to learn a recipe from Egypt, but the bookstore merchant never shows up. On a trip to France, the same Sim was supposed to deliver a bottle of nectar and the receiving Sim disappeared off the map.

Shortly after I installed World Adventures, when I clicked on the Family Tree button for my legacy family, nothing happened. Upon further investigation the, Aunts/Uncles/Cousins Family Icons no longer showed up in the friend listing. (Father/Mother/Brother/Sister still did) This poses a problem, since family members could potentially now flirt with one another…yuck. When I married in a new townie, his family tree DID pop up (however, it only included him and his wife, who was my previous character, and when I clicked on her picture, the Family Tree went blank).

When I travel to China, the General Store Merchant and the Food Merchant are NEVER there. The Book Merchant and Relic Merchant are always there during the daytime, but when I try to click on the other registers, it just always says Store Closed.

My Sims can’t travel anywhere i select a location it takes forever to load and then no one arrives its been working fine for ages now all of a sudden its broke and nothings changed I haven’t done anything different I don’t get it.

I had a bug where world adventures just randomly uninstalled by itself, but in documents it said I still had the families I created when I got it, in game and they were in the family bar.

Sent my Sim to bed on the second story. I go up a floor…. and the bed shows an invisible person sleeping in it. I went down a floor, and shes floating in mid-air directly under the bed.

• World Adventures won’t play or download.

‘Cyclic Redundancy Error’ is usually caused by a registry issue can usually be fixed with a registry scan. But just in case you can always try these solutions.

1. You will want to attempt a hard drive installation of the game. In this process, you copy the game files to the Desktop, so that the disk, although necessary for running the game, is not necessary for installation.

1. Right-click the Desktop, select New, and select Folder.
2. Insert the Install Disk into the drive.
3. Exit any autoplay screen that may appear.
4. Open My Computer.
5. Right-click the CD-ROM drive containing the Install Disk and select Open.
6. Click Edit at the top of the window.
7. Click Select All.
8. Click Edit again.
9. Click Copy.
10. Close the window.
11. Right-click the New Folder on your desktop and select Paste. (The game files will now copy.)
12. Once the files from the Install Disk are copied proceed to step 13.
13. Upon completion, remove all disks from any drives.
14. Double-click the Setup folder.
15. Double-click on the Sims3Setup.exe icon, looks like two silver arrows and a half-cirle on a blue background. (The installation should now begin.)

2. If you got Sims 3 CRC Error then there is a 94% chance that your computer has registry problems. To repair Sims 3 CRC error you need to follow the steps below:

1. Download a Perfect Optimizer,install this error repair tool.
2. Click the Repair All Button.It will scan you pc for Free.
3. Then click the Repair All Button again and your done! It is very easy to repair sims 3 crc error.

3. Download EA download manager [EADM], create an account on there, then you get your serial key for the game, type it in EA download manager and it will download the game and install.  A CRC error is the DVD Drive not being able to read the disc properly. It downloads pretty quick. and anyone else who is having this problem this is the way around. All you need to do is have an EA account set up, then there is a tab that says activation, this is where the serial key goes, and its that simple.

4. Run the Windows Defragmenter software on your system. Fragmented hard disk space can cause this error.

CRC errors may also be caused by a hard disk or DVD drive failing or being unable to write consistent data.

If you have run the Defragmenter software and are continuing to experience this error, please contact your system’s manufacturer for further diagnostics.

It appears that in some cases, users that are using the EA download Manager version of The Sims 3 may experience this error if their download is paused. To resolve this issue, perform the following steps:

1. Log in to the EADM.
2. Click on the red x in the upper right part of the Sims 3 download to clear the EADM cache.
3. Re-download The Sims 3; do not pause the download.

Also, if you need older patches for the game because the new one you installed [v1.7/2.2] made your game worse which resulted you uninstalling then reinstalling the game. You can download the older patches here separately.

If you want The Sims 3 Patches  you can download them here. I realized that the latest patch for the game is pretty messed up so I went on a search to download them separately. I only did this because people have installed the new patch [v1.7/2.2] and it has gave them nothing but trouble so they decided to uninstall the game and then reinstall but realized in order to not have that patch you would have to find a way to install everyone but that one. Even those patches are a hit and miss but they are better than the latest one.
