Me & My Graphics Card

I would had loved to get the EVGA GeForce GTX480 but it cost hundreds more [I got this one for $169.99. The original price was $229.99].  The only problem I’m having with this card at the moment is The Sims 3. I should say The Sims 3 have a problem with my card concerning compatibility issues. When I cut the game up to it’s highest settings, it crashes straight to desktop. It didn’t do that with my GeForce 7950. Then again, that card is compatible with The Sims 3 and is a damn good card.

Newegg should send me some type of deal for being a constant customer. I’ve bought several items from them in under 2 weeks. My 25″ Hanns-G monitor will be here tomorrow.

Graphic Card stats:

  • 336 CUDA Cores
  • 1024MB and 768MB models

I’m like a kid at a toy store. I’m planning on getting me another processor too. It’s going to be AMD because that’s what my MSI motherboard takes – duh. I do know one thing, I’m going to be in gaming heaven when my monitor gets here.

Me & My Zune 30GB

Zune 30GBI’ve had my Zune 30GB since the beginning. I’ve dropped it, thrown it, scratched it and left it out in the rain for a few minutes. All these accidents were in fact on mistake of course. It still works, still adds music and everything, screen still works just fine. There are only a few dints and very few scratches. The only thing now which is breaking my heart is that the battery life is dying.

I’ve heard my friends going through a few iPods doing minor things like dropping them and they stop working all together. They at first were so into trying to convince me in getting a iPod because they have one and they have a grudge against Microsoft products. Beside that incident that happened with the Zunes a couple years back, I’ve had no complaints. I love my Zune, it gets me through the day when I have to travel across town to see my boyfriend, or my grandmother.

My point is, I’ve done some research on the new Zune HD and read the reviews. Some have had theirs for a few weeks to a month and they had to send it back in for repairs. Others have dropped theirs and the screen shattered. All I know is once I get around to it, I will be searching the net to get me at least two more Black Zune 30GB mp3 players. It may be big and bulky but it lasts and that’s all that matters. I will be bringing in 2014 with a Zune 30GB mp3 player.

Gygan is Better than LimeWire

If you use LimeWire, BearShare, Frostwire, or the like. You should stop using them; LimeWire especially and try this program on for size. You don’t have to worry about viruses and things of that nature.

GyganWhat do you have to lose? This program does a lot more than LimeWire. The feed is a lot faster than that of LimeWire. You can share large files a lot quicker. It has free uploading, and free downloading.

Gygan is great for sharing large HD home videos and hi-res photos with your friends and family, or distributing software to your clients, partners, and customers.

Burnout Paradise Screenshot

Photobucket

Believe it or not, people still play this game.

Anyway, this is just a random ass screen shot of the game leaving me some place that’s surrounded by water. I crashed and this is where it left me. I thought it was funny at the time because the first time I crashed it left me on top of a light pole.  I crashed no where near over here by the way. Other than that, Burnout Paradise would of been awesome if they would of kept traffic check.

Don’t be an ass, I’m well aware of the graphics. I’m using a GeForce 7950 at the moment because I don’t have my 9500.

2009 Game Sales Figures [Top 10 for PC & Consoles]

Consoles

  1. Xbox 360Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
  2. Wii – Sports Resort w/ WII Motion Plus
  3. WiiNew Super Mario Bros. WII
  4. Wii – WII Fit w/ Balance Board
  5. Wii – WII Fit Plus
  6. WiiMario Kart w/ Wheel
  7. Wii – WII Play w/ Remote*
  8. PS3 – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
  9. Xbox 360 – Halo 3: ODST
  10. Nintendo DS – Pokemon Platinum Version

PC

  1. The Sims 3
  2. World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Expansion Pack
  3. The Sims 2 Double Deluxe
  4. World of Warcraft: Battle Chest
  5. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
  6. World of Warcraft
  7. The Sims 3: World Adventures Expansion Pack
  8. Spore
  9. Dragon Age: Origins
  10. Empire: Total War

Some of these are in fact no-brainers when it comes to sales such as World of Warcraft and anything made by the Nintendo Wii. But, The Sims 2 is still selling? Well that’s understandable seeing that the Sims 3 have sadly more problems and issues than the second one ever had. Plus its a lot of things that was in the primary game [no expansion packs] of The Sims 2 that wasn’t in The Sims 3.

Now I may be wrong and I’m willing to accept that but I think the ONLY reason why the Xbox 360 is on the top 10 figures list for CODMW2 is because of the PC gamers who were pissed because they no longer had dedicated servers had decided to migrate to the Xbox 360 [even if they didn't even own an Xbox 360] because its cheaper than the Playstation 3. Then again of course as I said, I could be wrong.

Left 4 Dead 2 Demo: List of Glitches, Errors, Bugs & Complaints

Photobucket

Honestly, what did you expect out of a PC video game Demo? This is probably why the console players got theirs earlier because its easier. A computer has to think more than a console do. Anyway, here are the things wrong with the game.

  • Game freezing every 10 seconds.
  • In-game music is skipping.
  • Game crashes back to desktop.
  • I can launch the game, and watch the introduction movie, but whenever I go past that the game closes to the desktop and displays “Completing installation…” and does nothing. Any fixes would be appreciated.
  • Reinstalling the demo does not work.
  • Game keeps Decrypting.
  • People getting “Monitor out of Range” error.
  • Game codes being invalid.
  • Characters are floating, you can look down and see the players legs and feet.
  • Can’t get online to play Left 4 Dead.
  • Demo refuses to launch, only gives purchase option.
  • Game disappearing from game list.
  • Crash in single player at end of second map when closing door crashed with memory error.
  • Multi-player we could all walk through certain walls and cars, couches etc but the game still worked fine.
  • Multi-player the game crashed when it loaded the second map.
  • AI in single player mode would stop shooting when being mobbed by large number of infected.
  • Purple “rope graphic” when throwing boomer bile at the alarm area.
  • NPC survivors would get stuck in looping animations when picking up objects.
  • After pulling a teammate up,the player hand is still held out as if you are going to pull someone up, goes away after shooting.
  • Common infected try to knock down a door that’s not there. [Meaning its been knocked down already and they're still you know...trying to knock it down.]
  • The characters sometimes have something that looks like a foot spasm. Like they are treading water.
  • The healing animations don’t function inside the Safe-room at times.
  • Special infected spawn in same place on occasions.
  • Australian and Germany version being over-censored.
  • Witch doesn’t react properly to survivors sometimes.
  • Hit boxes not working on Special Infected.
  • I saw a zombie with its knees bent and arms straight out to its sides spinning around like a helicopter. It stopped and looked at me for a second, then went back to spinning, so I shot it.
  • Zombies being too easy to kill.
  • “The survivors have escaped” is in very tiny lettering.
  • Can’t hear in-game music.
  • Guns disappearing from inventory.
  • Special Infected being invisible.
  • Infected having no heads but only in certain actions.
  • The choice to be able to walk through the scenery.
  • The little bridge right out from the very start of the game that leads out of the starting area got dislodged and everyone started clipping through it, falling off the edge and needing other teammates to help them get pulled back up.
  • Smokers being able to grab survivors through doors.
  • Common Infected wearing Riot Gear does not die.
  • Tank being too easy to kill.
  • Launching Demo un-mutes mic.
  • Can’t carry a primary gun and a melee weapon.
  • The Wandering Witch only responds if you shoot her, loud noises, walking right next to her and shooting boomers that’s a foot away won’t disturb her.
  • Pink and black textures on the wall. [Sounds like a graphical issue.]
  • Pre-loading to %100 just make the game download all over again.
  • Bile bomb seems more effective when just thrown on the floor like a pipe bomb.
  • The older SI seem weak compared to the new ones.
  • Too many options on what to grab as far as Pipe bombs, Bile bombs, Molotov Cocktails, etc etc are concerned.
  • Shooting accuracy has declined.
  • The game has the same feel as Left 4 Dead.
  • Getting charged by the Charger only to have him go right through me, hit the wall and some how managed to grab me from 10-15ft away and started pummeling me in the spot he originally charged from.
  • Common infected think the fastest way to get to me is climbing over lampposts instead of walking around.
  • View-models are too close to the camera.
  • Illegal position: get on roof in Parish.
  • Ability to revive a player from any height.
  • Illegal position: ability to ledge on a wall that doesn’t exist.
  • Melee flashlight does not cast shadows.
  • Incompatibility with MOTD and Internet Download Manager.
  • Invalid client.dll’s.
  • You’ll see the Valve logo, then the L4D2 intro movie. If you let it play through, or if you press Escape to skip it, the game then crashes with an Engine Error saying “Could not load library client.”
  • Cross-hair sometimes disappears, however returns when the weapon is fired.
  • AI path-finding bugs: infected are getting ‘stuck/caught’ on the cars or poles in the level.
  • Lack of idle animation movement in pistols.
  • Smoker has no ‘pull’ animation, either standing or moving. Often time appears he his floating across the ground and standing still when he fires his tongue.
  • AI issue: bots occasionally congregate, particularly in corners and will refuse to move. They often refuse to pick up items such as med-kits and pills/adrenaline outside safe rooms even if they desperately need them.
  • CI issue: the CI will attack you from very odd angles, like running to you with their faces directed at you but bodies at an odd angle. Their body movement seems very unnatural and weird and objects in their way seem to make it worse.
  • Every time the map changes, performance for some ATI users would drop to unplayable levels.
  • Assigning melee/heal to MOUSE4 means you can’t heal teammates. Trying to do so with mouse4 will act as if you’re just pressing, not holding Mouse4. It switches in to healing then quits right after.
  • Friendly fire disabled for incapacitated people.
  • No self-awareness.

Here are my suggestions for some of these errors. If you have the demo, and its giving you errors and nothing you do seems to work. Try waiting a few days, the servers at Valve are probably at its capacity sense people are trying to install the game at once. If you’re having problems with Left 4 Dead 2 freezing, try disabling Multicore rendering. If you’re trying to play Left 4 Dead online but you can’t connect, you should also wait, there a lot of anxious and potential whiners still installing the game. If you’re  having other problems with decrypting, try restarting Steam. That seems to help a lot of people. If you haven’t been able to even download it yet, you should just wait til they hype dies down. Chances are there are others who can’t even download it yet.

The demo will not be available to those who did not pre-order Left 4 Dead 2. The Grenade Launcher, Incendiary Ammo is not available to use in the demo.

The only melee weapons in the demo are:

  1. Tonfa
  2. Machete
  3. Frying Pan
  4. Electric Guitar

On another note, I feel sorry for those who live in Australia and Germany. They have Censored dead bodies and when you shoot the infected, they disappear before they hit the ground. There is barely any gore or blood in the game.

STOP CRYING ABOUT LEFT 4 DEAD 2 DEMO RELEASE BEING DELAYED!

Photobucket

I went on the Steam‘s Left 4 Dead 2 forum site and all people are doing is crying, moaning bitching and whining that the game has been pushed back to 10 hours. Its just a demo and its not like they Photobucketare canceling the demo completely and making you wait til the game is released. Crying and bitching about a demo being delayed is fucking retarded. Be glad you’re getting the demo at all. You’ll get it when you get it. Shit happens and flooding the forums is not going to make them hand you the demo any faster. So what that the Xbox 360 gamers get to play their demo earlier than PC gamers. That is not their fault.

I’ve never see so many cry babies about a damn demo in my life. I don’t think the Left 4 Dead boycott members were this damn bad and I’m sure there are a huge fraction of them just as frustrated as you. People are on there rage-posting and telling people to rage this Photobucketand rage that. What the hell can your simple damn font do? Posting the fax and contact numbers to valve is not going to prove a point, its just going to get laughed at. I’m laughing now at all those supposed “gamers” that are crying about a demo that is just that. You only get to play 1 and and half chapter, nothing more…nothing less. Whose to say the demo is going to be what you think it is anyway? With that being said, I’m expecting a lot more forums once the demo is released. People will be crying how they didn’t get what they expected. Well no one told them to have their expectancy for a damn demo over 9000.

People as of now are saying they’ve been lied to. How were you lied to? Oh because they delayed the game for 10 more hours? How is that a lie? A lie is saying a demo is coming out but never do. That is a damn lie. When things get close to a release date for video games, things are bound to happen. People end up showing their true colors and after awhile its no longer funny, its just plain sad. Video game companies don’t owe gamers a damn thing. They make games to put food on their table, not yours. So Valve can release their demo whenever they fucking please. Its not much you can do about it, its you who wants to play the game so badly so its you who is ass hurt, not them. If you want to shoot zombies so bad, occupy yourself by playing Left 4 Dead.

Go over there to steam in the Left 4 Dead 2 forums if you need amusement, especially if you’re like me and could give a damn about a damn demo delay.

Here’s some good news though:

Now that people have stopped crying about the demo not being released you can click here if you’re having issues with the game.

Fanboys of PC, XBOX 360, and PS3 Get over YOURSELVES!

Those who feel that one is better than the other and probably never had the console or PC that you’re so mad at, please SDFU! Honestly, they aren’t much of a difference between the three, they all play games, they all go online, they all got gamers playing them and they all basically do the same shit. The only difference is the hardware. People are separating each other based on where and how they play video games. The fact that these fan-boys base their opinions on who plays what is pretty stupid.

PS3 is better because online gaming is free.

People get to calling other gamers “lame” and or “stupid” for having the PC or Console that they have like it’ll make that much of a difference. Its like people who like this or that get annoyed that people like the opposite of what they like. Why does it matter to them why someone don’t like playing PC games or like playing PS3 video games? Why can’t people like a console and it be just that? Hell why can’t people not like a console without someone going at their necks with their pointless ass opinions?

Only reason why people buy the Xbox 360 is because of Left 4 Dead.

I seriously hope that people online and offline don’t get upset over how someone feel about PC’s and Consoles. Being a gamer troll does not give you bigger balls. Nor does it change people minds on what they chose to play their video games on. So please stop your whining, stop your crying and your bitching. Play your video games on whatever you play your games on and let people be.

PC gamers only play PC games because they’re n00bs its easier to use the mouse and keyboard to aim and shoot.

People have been saying these idiotic statements for years. Consoles, and PC’s all have their flaws and issues with them, just some most than others. Regardless of that, people will continue to play their consoles and their PC’s no matter what someone else think. It just get really annoying going on a site about medical care or recipes and I can go down the page and read the comments and they don’t even be about the article or recipe they be about how this Console or PC is better than the other. Arguing about a console or a PC will not give you bigger balls, nor will it make anyone lose any sleep at night.

Left 4 Dead 2: List of Weapons

Left 4 Dead new DLC ‘The Sacrifice’ click here for info.

To Add me on Steam: Asilee

Left 4 Dead 2

Update: If I missed any…feel FREE to leave a comment with the weapons that I did miss if I missed any. THANK YOU!

Also! Think and READ before you post! People have been commenting saying I don’t have this or that when I do.

AND! Don’t message me or contact me telling me how someone had copied and pasted this whole article on The Steam Left 4 Dead 2 forums. I couldn’t care less.

PS: All FOREIGN weapons WILL NOT be listed! So please save the “I live in Australia/Germany and they have different weapons that aren’t listed here” comments. Those are only in your game because of the strict censorship on the game and various other reasons. I live in AMERICA. The only weapons I’m listing are in the AMERICAN version of Left 4 Dead 2. Thank You!

Please don’t just scroll through the whole list assuming there are pictures for every last weapon/explosive in the game. That’s how you end up thinking I didn’t list it because I didn’t put a picture. READ PEOPLE!

Question: If you HAVE the game…why are you even looking at this?

Tier 1

Pump Shotgun

Does 25 damage per pellet and 250 damage if all pellets hit. (10 pellets)
Does 2000 damage per clip if all pellets hit, should take 3 magazines to kill a Tank when up-close.
Requires a pump after each shot.

The Chrome Pump Shotgun is the most basic shotgun in the game. It deals high damage at close range but the spread causes it to be ineffective at medium to long range. It was revealed in very early builds of the Left 4 Dead 2 beta and rarely seen. It is modeled after the Remington 870 Marine Magnum.

Sub-machine Gun

Does 20 damage per shot.
Does 950 damage per magazine, so it takes 7 magazines to kill a Tank.
More accurate than the Silenced Submachine Gun.

The Sub-machine Gun deals light progressive damage. It holds 50 rounds with 480 in reserve, and has enough accuracy to shoot at medium range. Although it is replaced by the assault rifle in tier 2, it still has the highest rate of fire. It also has noticeable stopping power. The main drawback to the sub-machine gun is the high rate of ammo expenditure; most Survivors using a sub-machine gun will run out of ammo partially through a level if they aren’t conservative with their shooting. However, it is great for medium-ranged closed-quarters such as large warehouses and apartments. Its high rate of fire, penetration and accuracy make it a longer ranged alternative to the pump shotgun.

Silenced Sub-machine Gun

Does 25 damage per shot. CI has 50hp on Normal/Advanced and 90 on Expert.
Does 1250 damage per magazine, so it should take 5 magazines to kill a Tank if you aim good.

The Silenced Sub-machine Gun fires its rounds at a very high rate of fire. All the rounds in one magazine can be fired in 5 seconds. It has a capacity of 50 rounds per magazine. It is modeled after the Military Armament Corporation M10 sub-machine gun (colloquially known as the MAC-10) with a suppressor.

3-burst Shotgun [?]

SIG SG 552

Chrome Shotgun

Does 24 damage per pellet and 240 damage if all pellets hit. (10 pellets)
Does 1920 damage per clip, should take 4 magazines to kill a Tank.
More accurate than the Pump Shotgun.

Tier 2

Auto Shotgun (Tactical)

28 damage per pellet, 280 if all pellets hits.
2880 damage per magazine, should kill a Tank in 3 magazines.

The auto shotgun is the next weapon up from the pump shotgun. It doesn’t require a pump after every shot so it can be fired much faster, but if reloaded from empty magazine, the bolt must be pulled, which takes a second,so its best to reload before the weapon is empty. The rate of fire is an advantage for wiping out crowds of Infected and cr0wning Witches. On a side note it’s effectiveness against Tanks has been decreased. The range and power of the shots is also improved. It is modeled after the Benelli M1014 semi-automatic shotgun.

Hunting Rifle

Does 90 damage per shot, and 1-shots CIs on any difficulty unless you aim for the limbs.
Does 1350 damage per magazine, should take 5 magazines to kill a Tank.

The hunting rifle has an attached scope that can be used to pick off Infected from long distances away. However, it is extremely ineffective at close range as each shot must be aimed at individual Infected. It’s the best weapon to use if Infected pack into small tunnels or hallways because of the power and ability to blow through Infected and hit others. It may also be used to penetrate walls. This is an effective weapon to kill Smokers who are on top of buildings or hills. It is modeled after the Ruger Mini-14 rifle.

Assault Rifle

Does 33 damage per shot.
Does 1650 damage per magazine, should take 4 magazines to kill a Tank.

The assault rifle is a fully automatic weapon that deals high damage at long range. It is more effective than the submachine gun in all respects, doing more damage with higher accuracy. This is effective at killing special infected at a distance and dealing constant damage at a closer range. It can be effectively used on Tanks if attacking at a close range. It is modeled after the M16A2 assault rifle. It is confirmed that it is the M16A2 because it says it right on the gun in the game.

Sniper Rifle

90 damage per shot, 1-shots all CIs.
2700 damage per magazine, should take 3 magazines to kill a Tank.
Holds more ammo per magazine.

The Sniper Rifle will do more damage against Special Infected while still killing the Common Infected in one hit. It will also be more accurate when moving and be black in color instead of the wood brown of its predecessor. It has a capacity of 30 rounds each magazine; increased from the 15 from before. It is suspected that this will be a Tier 2 weapon. It is modeled after the Heckler & Koch G3SG/1 rifle, a scoped G3 variant

Spas-12 (Combat Shotgun)

Does 44 damage per shot. (Not sure if this means per burst or per bullet)
Does 2640 damage per magazine, 3 magazines to kill a Tank.

The Combat Shotgun fires shotgun shells and has a capacity of 10 shells each reload. It is modeled after the Franchi SPAS-12 Semi-Automatic Shotgun.

SCAR (Combat Rifle)

The Combat Rifle is an automatic weapon that has a capacity of 60 rounds per magazine and fires in three-round bursts. It is suspected that this will be a Tier 2 weapon. It is modeled after the Fabrique Nationale SCAR-L assault rifle.

Special Tier

Grenade Launcher

Does same damage as a Pipe-bomb.
Can not gain more ammo from ammo piles.
Kill radius varies on difficulty.

The Grenade Launcher is a weapon in Left 4 Dead 2. Based on footage from Comic Con, it appears to be a M79 Grenade Launcher. Not much is known about the grenade launcher other than “it liquefies flesh-eaters with remarkable efficiency.” It fires one shell at a time and takes around two or three seconds to reload. It takes the place of the primary weapon. It appears to have the same power as the pipe bomb. It also has the worst friendly fire damage,

AK-47

Does 58 damage per shot.
Does 2320 damage per magazine, should take 3 magazines to kill a Tank.

The AK-47 is an Assault Rifle in Left 4 Dead 2. It can be found mostly in the location of the SCAR in areas where the assault rifle spawns.

Sidearm

P220 Pistol (Can be dual-wielded)

Does 525 damage per magazine, 1050 when dual wielded. Takes 12 magazines to kill a Tank, and 6 magazines when dual wielded.
Infinite ammo.

The SIG Sauer P220 Pistol is the backup weapon of the Survivors in Left 4 Dead 2. It is one of the weapons they can use when knocked down, although with a slower rate of fire and greatly decreased accuracy. The pistol(s) is one of the only weapons that has infinite ammunition. However, they are still limited to a magazine capacity of 15 rounds.

Dual Pistols [P220 Pistol)
Magnum Pistol (Cannot be dual-wielded)

Does 80 damage per shot.
Does 640 damage per magazine, should take 10 magazines to kill a Tank.
Like the normal pistols, it has infinite ammo.

Trivia

  • All of the weapons in Left 4 Dead 1 reuse weapon code from another Valve game, Counter-Strike.
  • The flashbang grenade was rumored to have been made a weapon at some point, which would have stunned all nearby Infected. However, there is no proof in the game files that a flash-bang grenade ever existed.
  • The posters before each level sometimes show characters with scoped MP5s, but they are not usable in the actual game.
  • It has been rumored that a revolver may also be featured but there is little to no evidence of this as of yet.
  • There also may have been a usable knife as a melee weapon, the sound can be found in the weapons/knife folder.
  • The posters before each level sometimes show characters with scoped MP5s, but they are not usable in the actual game.
  • In Left 4 Dead (with the exception of one area each in the 3rd and 4th chapters of Death Toll and in Crash Course), all tier 2 weaponry spawns in groups; allowing players to choose which weapon they want to wield against the Infected.
  • The flashlight is mounted on each gun and is sensitive to how the player moves it. It scatters with players’ movements when they reload part of a magazine, reload the entire magazine, melee or switch weapons.
  • An interesting thing to note is that the pistol is the only weapon that actually has a reason to stay attached to you. Weapons put on your back don’t have a strap keeping them on, and molotovs, pipe Bombs and pills also seem to float on the player’s waist.
  • If you spawn a useable item while you’re still holding one, the one you dropped will be ineffective, meaning it wont get set off no matter what. Picking it up and throwing it solves this.
  • It is odd that the “Cooldown” bar comes up when you melee with guns but fighting with a melee weapon, there comes no “Cooldown”, even though in reality the use of melee weapons would exhaust you much quicker than hitting with the backside of a gun.
  • In Left 4 Dead 2 , not all weapons have a full stock of ammunition. When you approach a weapon close enough, it will say if the weapon is fully loaded or not.
  • In Left 4 Dead 2 Demo, it should be noted that upon picking up a melee weapon, Survivors drop their pistol (if they are dual wielding, they will drop both pistols). However, when they are incapped, they still pull out a pistol, and once revived, the pistol is no longer part of their inventory and the melee weapon is still in the pistol slot. This is the game designer realising that if a teammate is pinned a melee weapon would be useless.
  • Also in the L4D2 Demo, all Melee weapons have a blur effect when swung. This includes both the primary fire (swinging the weapon) and the secondary fire (pushing with the weapon).
  • When Picking up ammo from a stock pile in Left 4 Dead, it would only fill the reserve ammunition to its maximum capacity. In Left 4 Dead 2, picking up ammo from a stock pile would fill the reserve past its usual limit, to the point that if you were reload after, your weapon would be fully loaded.
  • In Left 4 Dead 2 Demo, typing “give melee” in console will give you a glitched melee weapon. When taken out it appears to be glitch arms flying all over the place. It has no HUD icon, either. If traded for a different melee weapon or a pistol, the world model will appear as a Hunter’s arms.
  • In the Left 4 Dead 2 Demo, typing “give hi_claw” in console (replacing “hi” with the name of a Special Infected) will cause an apparent glitch. The “infected_claw”s are most likely supposed to be the weapons that Infected players use while playing a Versus game. However, when spawning is attempted, a P228 will drop on the floor that you cannot pick up.

Left 4 Dead 2 Music Video

Update 12-13-2009: Let me make another thing clear before people like “omgitsroscoe” make a fool of themselves. The gaming footage I used to make this music video is from GameTrailers. This is NOT me playing. So if you want to say, “ZOMG! YOU SUCK!” Please track down the players in the video’s and tell them that. Thanks.

The Sims 2 Cheat Codes still can be applied in The Sims 3 which I hope everyone know/knew. There some I didn’t even know about. Maybe those will work in The Sims 3 as well. I will try them out but I’m not the type to like using cheats. That takes the fun out of the game…Please note that some of the cheats if not most probably won’t work in The Sims 3 because I’ve read some where that there are going to be different cheats but they do the same thing.

  • To bring up this cheat box(CTRL+C+Shift)
  • The correct way to type the ‘BoolProp’ cheats is ‘BoolProp Testingcheatsenabled true’ capitalization is important.

Make your pregnant Sim wear normal clothes instead of maternity clothes.

  1. Make sure your in neighborhood view, and type in ‘BoolProp Testingcheatsenabled true.
  2. Go into your families house and hold the shift button down and left click on the pregnant Sim.
  3. Select spawn & then select ‘Rodney’s Clothing Tester‘. A clothing rack should appear.
  4. Click on the clothing rack and select ‘force redress’.

Infinite Pizza!

  1. Bring up the cheat box and type in ‘move_object on‘.
  2. Grab a piece of pizza and when it’s in your Sims hand hold onto the pizza and press shift and you should have clone of the pizza. Of course with it being infinite pizza, you can eat it forever.

Quick Promotion

  1. Get the cheat bar up and type the ‘BoolProp‘ cheat, press shift then click the newspaper and check out the menu.

Get 999,999 Simoleons

You can usually just sit there and type in the ‘motherlode‘ cheat code numerous times but that will take too long right?

  1. You’re going to need the Expansion Pack – Open for Business.
  2. Buy a lot then open up a store, select something decorative and cheap and sit it on the ground. Set the price at 999,999.
  3. Bring up the cheat bar and type in the ‘BoolProp Testingcheatsenabled true‘ cheat.
  4. Press the shift key then select a person.
  5. Click on ‘Make Selectable‘.
  6. As the customer, go and click on the gnome and buy it. Go the the register and click pay for items. Just before they finish paying, press shift again and click ‘make unselectable‘.
  7. The person that is purchasing whatever it was you sat on the ground will pay you 999,999 Simoleons.

Honestly, typing in motherlode seems like a lot simpler and easier than this. That’s just my opinion.

My Newest Challenge: Building a Gaming PC Under a $675 Budget

I’ve decided to challenge myself next month since I’ve gave advice on others when building their gaming PC‘s. Their budget was an under a $1000 budget. I decided when its time to build mine I will be staying under a $675 budget. So far I’ve come up with a few things from Microcenter.com and Newegg.com. I think whats going to cost the most is my Gaming PC Case/Tower. I’ve even been on buy.com as well and they have some decent price techs on there as well. The only place I’m avoiding is Ebay.com, I will never shop on there again.

I need to make a list on things I won’t be needing…

  • A PC monitor.
  • A Keyboard.
  • A Mouse.
  • A Gaming Case. [If my friend comes through for me that is.]
  • B.S. from my moody, snotty boyfriend.
  • My boyfriends help.

The things I will be needing…

Usually, I would tell people to look at the game that they are going to be playing the most and go by those specifics. Well the main game(s) I’m going to be playing is The Sims and Command & Conquer. Both are EA games which is the sad part. Anyway, I go to Can You Run it? which is a site that give you a report about  your computer. Right now, I’m on a Dell, a old one in fact, here is my report when I put in the game I want to play on it…[hypothetically]…I put in The Sims 2 but it didn’t work so I put in The Sims 3 and this is what I got…

Photobucket

Note: If you aren’t familiar with this site and this is your first time using it, the site will ask you to download a very small java app that allows it to give the site your specifics about your computer. Its okay to download it, you won’t even know its there. This site have every PC game imaginable if you want to try it out so feel free.

They give you recommendations as well that will lead to different sites such as tigerdirect.com and sites like it.

Anyway, that’s where I’ve decided to get my PC from, I found a AMD based Barebone kit that cost $419.99 after the rebate but that rebate will be over when I get around to buying it so its actually $429.99 which isn’t bad. It comes with everything except for a graphics card.

Here are the specifications, descriptions and prices for it…

  • MSI K9N2 SLI Platinum Motherboard – $119.99
  • AMD Phenom 9500 2.20GHz Retail – $89.99
  • OCZ SLI 4096MB PC6400 DDR2 -$52.99
  • Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB Hard Drive – $59.99
  • CoolerMaster CM690 ATX Mid-Tower Case – $89.99
  • Ultra LSP550 550-Watt Power Supply -$59.98
    • This sleek, handsome, and powerful quad core barebone is ready to be the foundation of a killer multimedia or gaming computer! The MSI K9N2 SLI Platinum mono supports dual-channel DDR2 1066+/800/667MHz memory up to 8GB, PCI-E x1, PCI-E x16 2.0, SATA 3Gb/s, USB 2.0, Gigabit LAN, and 8-channel HD audio. Ideal for gaming, multimedia, or business computing.

Eventually I am going to upgrade. My boyfriend has a graphics card I can use for now but I won’t be using that one long because I want my own. Well, I guess that’s it…I can post this for now.

Is Using Limewire or Any Other P2P Program Legal or Illegal?

LimeWire

Technically the act of using Limewire/Kazaa/Morpheus or any other P2P file sharing system IS PERFECTLY LEGAL. However, the act of sharing copyrighted music is what the authorities will prosecute for, as you are allowing other users to download something which they should pay for, for free.
The act of downloading music which is being shared by other users, is illegal, however the authorities will prosecute those who are sharing a “significant amount of music” – like drugs they will go after the DEALERS not the USERS.

More input and advice:

The main question here is not whether Limewire is illegal, but if mp3 sharing, or sharing of any files/applications for that matter, is illegal. There have been lots of lawsuits where the music recording industry have tried to serve hefty fines etc to the companies/individuals who encourage and facilitate the sharing of files between people. However in recent court cases the decision has been made that it is not plausible to adequately place blame on people, since all software such as Limewire does is act as a catalyst. The heart and soul of Limewire, WinMX and KaZaa is the people, like you or I, that download files and likewise make files on our own PC’s available for others. In order to ‘win’, the recording industry would have to sue each and every one of us, which would simply be a too difficult and costly task. By taking software such as Limwire off the internet by way of force, all that would happen is that another group of individuals would come up with something new, and another head would grow in its’ place. It’s like trying to police an individual taking a new CD that he bought over to his friend’s house and copying it on to his PC: virtually impossible.

As we all know, technically, ftp is legal in itself as a mode of communication and data transfer. It has really (unbelievably) been used since not long after the second world war. The net was invented as a communication method that would be almost self-healing after an attack, by offering billions of alternative routes for data transfer. In itself it is pure genius and gives us communication that our ancestors would only dream of. Music piracy has shot up tenfold since the advent of programmers like Napster. The US & UK governments thought the problems had died when they passed acts that shut these sites down. These primitive file share sites actively promoted the fact that they offered music free to download through their shareware. But the new breed is VERY different. Programmers like KaZaa, Limewire, WinMX and E.Donkey, are just bacteria that feed on the source that almost all internet users harbor in their own homes. A piece of software is an appliance. Like a tumble drier. A tumble drier dries your clothes. An FTP application downloads files. It doesn’t know what a particular file is, what it shows, or how it works. It just does its job. But the pitfall is that this software can pass copyrighted music, unreleased Hollywood blockbusters, expensive software, child pornography, important and censored documents/images/films in an unbiased way between countries, individuals, criminals and governments. So, Limewire IS technically legal. But it and programmers like it have a finite lifespan and I would wager that within the next few years (maybe 6 at the most), File sharing will be another heavily taxed weapon in our worldwide governmental arsenal. It’s the first opportunity for the world to get something for free. (REALLY FREE). Grab the chance now and go forth my children and get what you need (but make sure it’s legal) Just because you can get it, it doesn’t mean that the stuff you have is legal. Steer clear of terrorism movies/ images, child porn, pornography of a corrupt nature in general, and any file that your conscience and society will not accept. But otherwise, ENJOY this rare blip in history when the majority notched up a rare victory on the bedpost of our existence.

Limewire is completely illegal. One of the main reasons this is illegal is because, artists release their music to get money off of it. If u take their music for free right of the internet, it’s like stealing their music, which is also like stealing money from record companies.

It is just as illegal to allow people to upload from you than it is to download from others. You have become a file sharer and they take it just as seriously as file downloaders. Trust me. I personally now know TWO people who were caught. Not on Limewire but on Imesh. It is not worth it. Your whole life changes once you get sued. You put yourself (family) at risk of paying thousands of dollars because of a few moments of weakness. “I gotta have that song!” I did it too! My friends learned just how much they REALLY needed all those songs once it happened. The answer was they didn’t NEED them at all. Your follow up question “will I get caught?” is, I’m sorry to say, just a bit out of touch with what’s going on out there. People, your NEW experts should not be the ones responding to this saying its legal, but others who have gotten caught! Do some research on Google with such words as music industry sues or lawsuit, and see the world from the other perspective. They are totally serious and totally committed to busting as many people as they can. Hope this helps someone out there. Go get some legal advice on this.

Limewire is Legal. There was a recent court case between the RIAA and another P2P file sharing client and the file sharing client won. This is because the software is intended to help people distribute files and how can the people that have that software be held accountable for the others that use it illegally. If you share copyrighted material it is illegal if you share pics and documents which aren’t copyrighted it is 100% legal.

Don’t be fooled by the “This Product is 100% Legal” that Kazaa but on their website. If you read it carefully it says that the downloading of the product is indeed legal, and so is downloading music, if its NOT COPYRIGHTED. Almost ALL music is copyrighted, therefore downloading them is illegal.

This has been said above, but here it is black and white, clear as crystal: “Copyright laws and laws pertaining to patents and inventions protect original works of authorship and inventions. Individuals who reproduce, distribute copies, receive copies, publicly perform or display works or inventions other than their own and without the consent of the owners or holders of rights, or their authorized agents, in original works of authorship or inventions, n(m)ay be in violation of copyright, patent or other intellectual property infringement. Lime Wire LLC does not encourage or condone the illegal copying of copyrighted material. This is not intended to be legal counsel or advice. If you have any questions, consult your attorney.” Reference: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/ftc.shtml#8f

Anyone paying for “100% legal” file sharing sites have been fooled. You could have stuck with any of the popular free sites and would be in the same boat regardless but with a little more money in your pocket. No one has been caught or sued yet that has ONLY DOWNLOADED music. Users uploading (assuming larger quantities) are the ones that have been fined. Granted, it may happen where downloaders are caught but for now, those who block all sharing along with turning off the function for the computer to be used as a super node, have a much better chance at avoiding trouble.

In a sense Limewire is legal, but in another sense it’s illegal. The fact right now is that Limewire, Kazaa, etc., are legal because it is simply peer to peer file sharing, like taking a CD to a friends house and letting him take the music on to his computer (ripping). This is legal, in a sense so is Limewire then, because the music comes from an original CD that someone paid money to get and they are simply sharing it to selected people. The problem that the recording companies and artists have is the MASS FILE SHARING, meaning the sharing of the song to more than 5 people. In fact it’s perfectly legal for anyone to share a file for free to 5 or less people. Basically like burning a game or a CD and giving it to your girlfriend or something. So is Limewire legal? YES. But if they want to take a further step they might want to make a “expiration system”. Basically a program that automatically deletes songs off the online list after it’s been downloaded 5 times. So there, LimeWire is technically legal.

Whenever you don’t pay for some

Technically the act of using Limewire/Kazaa/Morpheus or any other P2P file sharing system IS PERFECTLY LEGAL. However, the act of sharing copyrighted music is what the authorities will prosecute for, as you are allowing other users to download something which they should pay for, for free.

Limewire is a tool, just like a knife. Tools have their roles in various tasks. Possessing the knife doesn’t commit the crime. Its the person the used the knife that commits the crime. One’s focus should not be on the existence of Limewire, but on the particular wrong-doing the happens with it.

Okay, a lot are well aware of risking your computer when using P2P programs. I don’t recall if its illegal or legal to use P2P programs. But I DO recall a while back that KaZaa was legalized. I don’t know if Kazaa is still around but a lot of people have gotten sued or fined using KaZaa and I think Limewire.

Legal Update:

Using Limewire technically is not illegal, but downloading content for which you may not be authorized to download, is. What such authorization means has and will continue to be the focus of court battles involving various trade groups, most notably the RIAA. RIAA stands for the Recording Industry Association of American, and you can view their website if you want at www.riaa.com. The use of software has also been the long running core argument of lawyers and other agents who argue on behalf of companies like Limewire and KaZaa. They claim that they don’t personally host or provide software, they merely provide a gateway to distribute non-copyrighted content. The RIAA has been successful and also unsuccessful thus far. KaZaa used that same core argument, but was eventually shut down. The site is still active but not updated, and nothing can be downloaded from the KaZaa software if anyone still uses it. Companies like Limewire are still active, as the RIAA has been unsuccessful in shutting them down thus

far.

Anyway, if you use Limewire, make sure you do a computer virus scan every few times you’re using it. Limewire say they check for viruses but they don’t. They’re so discreet and hidden within the files that you’re downloading, you wouldn’t know if its there or not.

Limewire files often have viruses that can poison your computer without you downloading them. Also if you’re downloading a file from Limewire make sure you don’t have any private information on your computer, its a risk you can be a victim of Identity Theft if you are not careful. Limewire is supposedly safe but in some cases Limewire is worse than going on a torrent site and downloading those. About those discreet viruses. Yes even when you’re downloading files/torrents on a torrent site and your browser does a scan and it says there were none found or whatever and you install it and your virus protect finds a virus. 9/10 the damage has already been done.

Not all files are bad on Limewire, its getting better. There have been less complaints about Limewire viruses.

Just be safe and run a virus scan on everything you download from there. & Then do a computer virus scan also. They can also be tainted with trojans too and a lot of them.

Other Tips:

Be aware of spyware. Some file-sharing programs install other software known as spyware. Spyware monitors a user’s browsing habits and then sends that data to third parties. Sometimes the user gets ads based on the information that the spyware has collected and disseminated. Spyware can be difficult to detect and remove. Before you use any file-sharing program, you may want to buy software that can prevent the downloading of spyware or help detect it on your hard drive.

Use and update your anti-virus software regularly. Files you download could be mislabeled, hiding a virus or other unwanted content. Use anti-virus software to protect your computer from viruses you might pick up from other users through the file-sharing program. Although your virus filter should prevent your computer from receiving possibly destructive files, computer security experts suggest you avoid files with extensions like .exe, .scr, .lnk, .bat, .vbs, .dll, .bin, and .cmd.

Disclaimer: Please be very careful when downloading files with a .exe suffix, since these files can contain a virus or spyware. For security reasons, LimeWire will not download VBS files. LimeWire’s Library will not launch .exe, .vbs, .lnk, .bat, .sys, or .com files, although such files can be launched with a program outside of LimeWire. We do recommend the use some sort of virus-protection software to scan any files that are downloaded.

Okay, here’s more infor on Limewire.

Copyright Infringement

Copyright laws and laws pertaining to patents and inventions protect original works of authorship and inventions. Individuals who reproduce, distribute copies, receive copies, publicly perform or display works or inventions other than their own and without the consent of the owners or holders of rights, or their authorized agents, in original works of authorship or inventions, may be in violation of copyright, patent or other intellectual property infringement. Lime Wire LLC does not encourage or condone the illegal copying of copyrighted material. This is not intended to be legal counsel or advice. If you have any questions, consult your attorney.

Shared Folders

Every day, millions of computer users share files online. Whether it is music, games, or software, file-sharing can give people access to a wealth of information. You simply download special software that connects your computer to an informal network of other computers running the same software. Millions of users could be connected to each other through this software at one time. The software often is free and easily accessible.

Sounds promising, right? Maybe, but make sure that you consider the trade-offs. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation’s consumer protection agency, cautions that file-sharing can have a number of risks. For example, when you are connected to file-sharing programs, you may unknowingly allow others to copy private files you never intended to share. You may download material that is protected by the copyright laws and find yourself mired in legal issues. You may download a virus or facilitate a security breach. Or you may unwittingly download pornography labeled as something else.

To secure the personal information stored on your computer, the FTC suggests that you:

• Set up the file-sharing software very carefully. If you don’t check the proper settings when you install the software, you could open access not just to the files you intend to share, but also to other information on your hard drive, like your tax returns, email messages, medical records, photos, or other personal documents.

DisclaimerOkay, about this, be careful. Sharing your folders mean you computer is very vulnerable to viruses and anyone can get in there and sit a virus on one of the files you are sharing in that folder and it can spread throughout your computer and others.
