Yea right, the only thing I’m laughing at is Cleveland. Y’all are sad. People around the nation, including people in Cleveland who have an ounce of sense is laughing at you. It seems to me that Cleveland is full of children in adult bodies. I would expect this from kids during recess, not grown ass people at a basketball game. He still have fans here ESPECIALLY in Akron. I’m not one of his fans but I’m not about hold what he had to do over his head. Let go of his nuts and move on with your pathetic lives. Especially those who spent thousands of dollars for a ticket just to bitch and moan.

He’s gone and he’ll never be back, there’s nothing you can do about that. No matter how much you cry. No matter how many commercials Michael Jordan or any other basketball player make about Lebron’s decision. Yes, he shouldn’t have had a whole hour on television to publicize his decision, that was just stupid but damn, what’s done is done. It’s basketball, not the end of the damn world. I know Cleveland don’t have much and it sucks when something decent comes along leaves just as fast as it came but what the hell can you do? You’re not making anything better acting like pre-schoolers. Other potential players from here would probably would go somewhere else before they play here seeing how you guys are when people leave.

Honestly, grow a pair and let go of Lebron’s.

So Cleveland is stressed out eh?

Why do I have this odd sensation of Deja Vu? Ah, oh well. Anyway, Cleveland is stressed out, broke, and edgy. We have sub-par sports teams, downtown looks like the inside of a strip mall; there are more bars and places to eat than there is something to do. But that doesn’t make a city stressful; of course not. So what makes a Cleveland, Ohio so stressful? Well let’s see, we have a failing infrastructure, water bills that make no sense. Areas of the city without water for over 20 hours due to above ground water pipes busting. Poor economy, failing roadways, politicians going to jail.  But hey, at least we got a Walmart in Steelyard Commons. Not only that, the citizens in this wonderful city – the vast majority have this huge ass chip on their shoulders.

But enough about that. Let’s look at the positive side here, the Cleveland, Ohio area is one of the easiest places to live in. People are friendly, but not nosy. They know how to be kind, without being invasive. Clevelanders help you, whether they know you or not. They care about you, and look after you, whether they know you or not, also. Clevelanders are approachable, reasonable, and fair. I know some of you may or may not agree with that but we’re different for a reason right?

Now you want to know stressful? Look at Toledo, Ohio. Now,  that sucker is a real gem. Toledo should have air balloons in the sky, with writing that says: “We want to be like Detroit, and PROUD of it!” Speaking of Detroit, I wouldn’t wish moving there on my worse enemy. Although, if you want to get out of Cleveland I understand there are some great deals in Gary or Detroit. If folks there aren’t trashy enough for you, try taking your talents to anywhere in Florida where the crack heads all have tans!

Cleveland is one stressful place to live eh?

Well no shit.

The study took crime rates, unemployment and health of residents into account when creating the rankings.

According to the study, Cleveland has the most robberies per 100,000 residents and had an increased number of deaths from heart failure, hypertension and stroke.

With Cleveland being at #3 on the list of most stressful places to live and work, Los Angeles being #2 and Detroit being #1. What do we got here let’s see. We have a stupid Healthline in the middle of Euclid that cost millions to make; that no one rides because one way is $3.00 and an all day pass is $5.00. Not only is it dangerous but a complete eye sore. There is more construction going on than there are people who are employed. They’re constantly building pointless buildings, like another art museum for example. We have PLENTY of those already. The people here are nasty in every sense of the word and it smells. If it wasn’t for my grandmother, I would of been left. It is also in high poverty. Nearly 65% of Clevelanders are in poverty.

The east side of Cleveland should just be bulldozed and started over…including the Cleveland Clinic who is ever so desperately trying to get the blacks from over there so they can finish knocking down 100′s of homes to throw up parking garages. Besides the Cleveland Orchestra and The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Cleveland, Ohio sucks. Just knowing that fact could stress anyone out.

The best and brightest left years ago and took business and opportunity with them. All that’s left are those who complain about change, take public handouts [either from welfare or from public sector jobs that create nothing of value for the region] and are fiercely Democratic. Thirty years ago, Cleveland was the home of more Fortune 500 HQ’s than any other city outside of New York. Not any more! They saw the light and moved elsewhere. If Clevelanders could visit other areas of the country and see what good governance and a thriving business community [strong chamber of commerce] can accomplish, they would truly understand why the city is called the ‘mistake by the lake’.

Cleveland & Akron Y’all are PATHETIC!

How can you be that upset over LeBron leaving? I mean they had to see it coming if they had any type of sense. He won’t win a ring here. Just because he decided to go with Miami you want to burn the jerseys, call him a traitor, just disrespect him entirely all because you pleaded with him, made downtown Cleveland into a shrine and made signs. No matter where he go; whoever he play with, LeBron will always be from Ohio..Akron…Ohio. Which I wouldn’t want to be the way people are acting like children that didn’t get their way. Y’all are pathetic.

Ever since LeBron made his decision though, there have been helicopters hovering over my apartment building and they’re pretty close. I live in downtown Cleveland so I’m sure there’s a riot some where.

I knew people were basically gone scream ‘blood murderer!’ when he decided to leave. I knew they were going to cry and make a tantrum and mention his tattoo’s.

A Letter From Cavaliers Majority Owner Dan Gilbert:

Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight;

As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.

This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his “decision” unlike anything ever “witnessed” in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.

Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.

The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.

There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.

You simply don’t deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.

You have given so much and deserve so much more.

In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:

“I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE”

You can take it to the bank.

If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our “motivation” to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.

Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.

Sorry, but that’s simply not how it works.

This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown “chosen one” sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And “who” we would want them to grow-up to become.

But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called “curse” on Cleveland, Ohio.

The self-declared former “King” will be taking the “curse” with him down south. And until he does “right” by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.

Just watch.

Sleep well, Cleveland.

Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day….

I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only:

DELIVERING YOU the championship you have long deserved and is long overdue….

This is a sad testament to a guy that could have done something truly great here if he had any vision. I understand why he did it, but I believe his philosophy in choosing his new team reflects the same philosophy he had in making this “Decision” into such a spectacle.

He is all about Lebron. The idea that he wants to “just win a championship” sounds wonderful, until you look at who he’s winning for. Here’s a clue – it isn’t his adoring fans who provide his paycheck, and it won’t be for Miami fans either. He is a super-talented athlete, but he is also a small-minded individual who probably has genuinely no concept of why Cleveland fans would be angry with him. There is no need though to be cry-babies just like Lebron just because he left.

If the organization is truly competent, then this is a positive thing. The leadership should have learned about what happens when you build a team around one super-ego and instead instills a team culture that shuns the idea of making a rock-star out of one super-talented player. Let’s hope this is the case, because we need a team built around winning championships, not appeasing one spoiled athlete who has shown himself to be the ultimate front-runner who quits and throws a tantrum in a playoff game when he disagrees with the play-calling.

Look how he went about making his decision. He milked it and decided that it should be a big deal by dramatically dragging it out basking in all his undeserved glory. If he knew he was leaving, he should of just made his decision instead of milking the attention.

Honestly Cleveland should not hold any ill will towards LeBron. This is life and you can’t blame the guy for doing something as big as create a dream team in Miami. He gave your city 7 good years of his life and took you to the finals. He busted his ass for Cleveland and how do you repay him, by burning his jersey in the streets. What kind of fans are you people, if that is how you treat people that worked hard to do their best while they played for a team in your city than honestly you deserve never to win anything. Also didn’t you same fans who feel betrayed boo LeBron in his last game in Cleveland during these past NBA playoffs? At the end of the day he has to make the best decision for him and his family and for his career. If you want to be honest with yourselves look at the facts. if he went to Chicago he would have been better off, if he went to the Knicks he would have been better off, but instead he went with the best out of all his options. Get Over it and stop putting blame and hate towards someone who loves where he grew up and loved playing for his hometown for the past 7 years. So what if he doesn’t play there for the next 7, appreciate what you had.

Cleveland, get off of Lebron’s Nutsac!

I’m sure everyone besides Cleveland, Ohio knows that Lebron James becomes a free agent July 1st. Well here in Cleveland, the news is all a buzz and have been for some time now about Lebron. They’re holding parties in his honor, even The Cleveland Orchestra is in on it come this July 2nd. There is this big mural of Lebron from when he was in high-school, college and now professional basketball and under it, it goes along the lines of saying that Cleveland needs/wants him here and this is where he belongs.

Why does our city revolve around this guy? I have met plenty of people in this city that are better people than Lebron. This is a joke on so many levels. That goes to show you that Cleveland is where dreams go to die because the moment something good comes along they try so desperately to keep it.

In my opinion Cleveland is pathetic. They’re saying that Cleveland’s economy relies on Lebron James and if and when he leaves the economy will fall. Honestly, I hope he leaves because this is ridiculous. If they fought this hard for things that mattered Cleveland would be slightly striving, but I digress.

Lebron James is more than a sports superstar. He’s a one-man economic engine that drives the lane, fills the bars and puts Cleveland on national TV. - The Cleveland Plain Dealer (Cleveland.com)

People here are basically willing to sell their soul to get Lebron James to stay. While I sit and watch this debauchery unravel, I can’t but help to pity the citizens of Cleveland, and yes Akron Ohio. Lebron isn’t the ‘chosen one’ or the ‘king’ as everyone puts it.

I’m sure he’s laughing at everyone behind closed doors; already decided on what he’s going to do. I cannot wait when the day of reckoning comes; I seriously hope he leaves, but there’s a catch to that. People will THEN be bitching, crying and moaning about how he betrayed his hometown and how he turned his back on his family or what have you. This is a lose/lose situation here, the bitching, the pleading, the crying won’t end.

The Cleveland Orchestra’s free, public event on Public Square celebrates its 21st anniversary on Thursday, July 1. A community festival begins at 5pm and at 8:40pm, an “orchestrated” message to LeBron James will be delivered. July 1 is the Cavaliers star’s first official day as a free agent. The Orchestra concert, followed by fireworks is at 9pm. – City of Cleveland

How pathetic is that? Talk about desperate pleas, it don’t get any more desperate than that. I hope the message reads “Please get off of Lebron’s nutsac“.

It’s really sad how people have placed so much faith and hope in this guy to the point of which I really worry about the citizens of this city… their hearts are just way too attached; and their wallets. I mean really, our economy depends on him? Its REALLY pathetic when an entire city depends on one guy for their economy, especially when that one guy seemed to have quit the city during the Boston Celtics [that's my team] playoffs. Anybody watching the game could see that the Cavaliers and Lebron gave up, so the city should have been prepared for this, why lose time and money chasing after this guy when all efforts should be put forth for the betterment of Cleveland and all Clevelanders?

If anyone can answer that feel free. Maybe he will surprise us all and just retire.

Cleveland, Ohio [The Winton Manor]

The Winton Manor

The Winton Manor (Click to Enlarge)

Basically this statement says what a lot of tenants are feeling about The Winton Manor.

I reside at the Winton Manor formerly known as The Carter Manor and have resided here for more than 13 years.  Sure they have rehabbed the building cosmetically by doing spot repairs and adding a few face plates here and their building is not what it seems.  On many days you can go in various public areas and see human secretions in public areas that are also exposed to kids, you will see trash in the stairwells, sometimes in the elevators and in front of tenants units.

If you lived here you will experience children running up and down the halls sometimes hitting on tenants doors and running, tenants playing loud sometimes vulgar music, televisions sometimes are played loud as well as it seems so many tenants have surround sound speakers attached to the televisions.

People have guest who entertain their guest in a tenants unit when the tenant is not home.  Some people entertain their guest in the hallways.  Many rules are not enforced at this building and the building is not secure – mostly everything printed in The Plain Dealer was a lie, the plain dealer was called and it was requested that a follow-up be done and they refused flat-out.  I also noticed that many articles that printed on this building have been censored.

The building has bugs like Ive never seen before, it has been my experience that the management company alters the truth to get move ins and give you hell when trying to get things resolved.

It’s a lot of drama in the building and  although the name has changed as did the appearance of the building but it is just as it was when it was the Carter Manor..NOTHING HAS CHANGED! Most of the promises they claimed in the paper were not honored like a computer room, a store, doctors in the building etc.

We have security on site but they only check IDs and that’s it, you can do as yo please and the guards only write complaints and then it’s finished.  Management really doesn’t enforce rules or deal with complaints unless you owe them money or unless they want you out.

The building is a joke as are its rules.

We have so many false fire alarms that people often times do not even want to leave their apartments, they have no real evacuation plan or safety alternatives for people who are in wheel chairs – it’s really sad, it was said that we would have new elevators because the old ones would break down a lot – guess what???  we never got the elevators although they did put paneling on the elevator walls to give it a new look but the elevators are not new – money was not spent the way it was printed in the plain dealer or how it was promised to tenants.

People really need to talk about whats really happening in their buildings even if given anonymously.

People have a right to know what they are getting into.

They do not do thorough checks on people because what I have seen it’s like they let anybody in the building.

Sadly, its still like that to this day. This was posted in a forum YEARS ago..and the feelings are in fact mutual except I’m not exactly living here. The fire alarm is going off now but I doubt there’s a fire so I stay where I’m at until the security guard down at the desk gets on the intercom and say there is one. Other than that he’ll usually say “false alarm, all residents please go back to your rooms” but in reality, no one really leaves.

They have YET to make a way for those in wheelchairs or any other type of disability to make it downstairs if there is a fatal fire. The only source is in fact to use the elevators although the fire alarm says don’t use the elevators. They’re risking their lives every day when it goes off because what if there really is a fire and they have no choice but to use the elevators and something happen to them? They shouldn’t have turned this building into a senior/disabled apartment complex because it wasn’t suited for them.

I’m not disabled or anything but before they changed it this place to for Seniors and the disabled, it was for everyone. So there are still people here before they changed it. I just feel sorry for the people who live here and hope something changes.

As for the elevators mentioned in his statement, they were never changed. Earlier this year they took out the tiling and threw down carpet. Well someone urinated in the elevator and they have yet to clean that out. Why they went from tiling to carpet I’ll never know. But I guess since people don’t know how to take care of where they lay their heads and most of the people in this building are in fact nasty, they just left it there. Says a lot about their character though. I mean in the area where they have their parties and other meetings, someone stole the flat screen out of there. How they got away with it when there were “camera’s” I’ll never know but from the looks of things, people don’t care about anything but themselves. I hope things change!

So what that Joakim Noah Bashed Cleveland!

Cleveland is, I don’t know about Cleveland, man. I mean there is nothing going on around here, man. The streets are kind of bare. It’s bad, man, it’s bad”

I mean come on! Its not like he wasn’t telling the truth. Cleveland, is a ghost town. There isn’t shit to do here and the crime rate is through the roof. They just closed over 18-20 schools, more jobs are leaving, and the only thing people have anything looking forward to is Lebron James, which I hope leaves.

Then the former Florida Gator then decided to take his disrespect for Cleveland another step further. When a reporter inquired about the possible backlash from Cleveland fans and asked, ”but doesn’t that motivate you a little bit?”

Noah’s response was,”What, that Cleveland sucks?”

I would have to say that was pretty hilarious. If you can’t laugh at yourself…ah you know the saying. I don’t understand why Cleveland is so pissy about what Joakim Noah said when the Bulls has lost twice to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and I’m only saying that because they are doing far better than the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Browns. Maybe they should just sit back and let the Fagaliers take care of Joakim Noah shit talking. Yes, that’s right, I never liked the Cavaliers and I won’t start now. Some say that Joakim Noah is desperate to win so his snide remarks would be “justifiable”. Honestly they are justifiable, some people just can’t take the truth. Cleveland sucks and I should know because I live in the heart of Downtown Cleveland. There is no nightlife, and if you don’t drink you mind as well go home and take your ass to sleep.

Why do anybody want to stay in this city or surrounding areas? People are moving out like greased lightning and soon I’ll be following suit. There should be a lot more to do downtown besides the Rock and Roll hall of Fame and the Great Lakes Science Center but what can you expect from a city that pins all its hope on revitalizing downtown by driving out all the businesses that help draw people to downtown for a few bars and clubs that aren’t even open til evening?

Isn’t it already well known that no one really likes Joakim Noah or do I have someone other shit talking NBA player mixed up with him? I think even a blind man can see that this character is trying to get in the Guinness World Record‘s for the most hated NBA player ever; more power to the clown.

Hell, look at the Cleveland Browns, they can’t stay out of jail to save their lives. Every other month to a week, one of them is in jail. So right on Joakim Noah, its about time someone said it!

So according to Forbes, Cleveland Ranks #1 as the most ‘Miserable City’…

Photobucket

[Click here for America's 20 Most Miserable Cities]

Well I would have to agree…

Residents of the Mistake by the Lake endure brutal winters, high crime and a tortured sports history. They are voting with their feet as the net migration out of the metro area was 71,000 over the past five years.

I mean come on, The Cleveland Cavaliers has been here since the 1970′s and they haven’t even won a championship. Although they aren’t the only ones that haven’t but this isn’t about them. The Browns; Lets not talk about the Browns, I don’t even want to get started on them. I live in Downtown Cleveland I must say it beats staying in the ghetto for sure. Even though at times walking through Tower City is like riding up and down St. Clair/Superior; especially on 105. I just know when I move out of Ohio, I won’t be looking back, ever.

This video below just about sums up everything I have to say about Cleveland, Ohio.

18 Schools Are to be Closed Here in Cleveland

Only 54% of the kids in the Cuyahoga school district are graduating from school. That’s a very low percentage and is why the 18 schools are being closed and a lot of teachers are being laid off so Eugene Sanders say. I’m sure there are a lot of parents that are pretty upset about this decision. Especially those who live close to that school and now have to find means of transportation to get them to a school that’s farther away.

Who is at fault for 54% of the children graduating from school? Some say its the lazy parents who don’t push their kids to learn or to actually go to school. Others say its the kids that don’t want to learn so they do what they want in school, if they even get inside the school doors. Most say that its teachers and the lack of care from the teachers. Who knows what’s true or not? The thing is this, 18 schools are going to close here, a couple years back I believe 15 schools were closed and 5-6 were demolished and all that is left is an empty lot. My city where I lay my head is becoming more of a place where dreams go to die instead of place where dreams go to live and to thrive.

I don’t understand how closing all of these schools, stuffing kids in already over accumulated classrooms is going to help the issue. If anything its going to make it worse. The icing on the cake though is RTA and its ‘budget cut’. They’re shutting down a lot of routes here which will infact cause people to lose their jobs and or drop out of school. The reason to that is because the lack of ridership and they’re trying to get out of debt. In the meantime while they’re worrying about their financial woes, people won’t be able to get to here and there without them. If anything, ridership should be rising as soon as the schools are closed. Especially if most of the kids are being sent to one specific school where there’s a bus route.

I’m truly feeling sorry for the people of Cleveland, Ohio because the kids that want to learn aren’t being acknowledged at all. They’re being stuck on the back burner and probably will be thrown into a worse predicament than it was before their original school closed. I’m sure there will be a rise in home-schooling and other means of educating children come this June or sooner. Here I thought it was bad when I was still in High School. Worse has yet to come.

The Good; The Bad; & The Ugly in Cleveland, Ohio

Cleveland Ohio is where I reside and I have to say, there’s more ugly and bad about Cleveland, Ohio than there is good. I guess I can get the good out of the way since the list is going to be so short.

The Good

The Cleveland Orchestra

Long considered one of America’s great orchestras, The Cleveland Orchestra stands today among the world’s most-revered symphonic ensembles. In concerts at home in Severance Hall, each summer as part of the Blossom Festival, in residencies from Miami to Vienna, and on tour around the world, The Cleveland Orchestra continues to set standards of artistic excellence, imaginative programming, and community engagement.

The Health Museum

Which is now called The Cleveland Museum of Natural History. [Which has now moved]

Today, the Museum is considered one of the finest institutions of its kind in North America. Its mission emphasizes scientific research, conservation and education.

The Museum offers an extraordinary visitor experience. Permanent exhibits of special interest include the 3 million-year-old human ancestor Australopithecus afarensis, known as “Lucy,” and the 150 million-year-old Haplocanthosaurus delfsi, one of the most complete mounted sauropods on display anywhere in the world.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Museum

Every year, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum welcomes visitors from all 50 states and 100 countries the world over. Since we opened our doors in 1995, seven million visitors have toured the Rock Hall.  We’ve worked hard to live up to our reputation as the preeminent home for the celebration and study of rock and roll music. With a full calendar of exciting events and an amazing array of exhibits filled with painstakingly preserved and creatively displayed artifacts, this is the ultimate place to learn about rock and roll and how it continues to shape our lives.

Cleveland Metroparks Zoo

The oldest park district in Ohio, the Cleveland Metropolitan Park District was born in 1917, the initiative of a young, self-taught engineer who had conceived the idea of an outer chain of parks with connecting boulevards some 12 years earlier. William Stinchcomb’s genius was to anticipate the future need for open space at a time when Cuyahoga County outside of Cleveland was still largely rural. From a few scattered donations of land in the Rocky River Valley, the Park District grew to embrace some of the most scenic areas of Greater Cleveland.

I can’t think of anything else good about Cleveland. Oh but the bad and the ugly? I have plenty to list about that.

The Bad

The Cleveland RTA Healthline

Welcome to RTA’s HealthLine. Or maybe you remember it as The Euclid Corridor? Yep – We got a new name – thanks to a partnership from the Cleveland Clinic and University Hospital. And to make good on the name, the HealthLine is helping lead (okay, “drive”) the rebirth of Euclid Avenue. After all, this sleek rapid transit line isn’t just moving passengers from places like Public Square to University Circle in 12 minutes flat. It’s moving our economy toward numbers like $4.3 billion in economic development. Not to mention, making our city a little greener, thanks to hybrid technology and 1,500 new trees (no wonder that little bird is so happy). So hop on board. And see how the RTA HealthLine truly is pumping new life into Cleveland.

Not only is it [the bus stops or stations] sitting in the middle of the street but its an eye sore and dangerous.  The way this was designed and made was really careless. People who are in cars have to stay out of the buses lane or get their ears blown out by these loud bus horns if you don’t move. Then the lane next to the bus only lane that’s the left turn only lane, you have to wait til the buses go by to make a left turn. That’s not what makes it dangerous though. Its in the middle of the street. I’ve seen children who has climbed down from that platform or sit on the edge because their parents are too careless to watch them. People end up running in the street to catch a bus instead of running on the sidewalk to catch the bus.

The Construction

I think I’ve seen more construction in Cleveland than anything else. I don’t think the crime rate in Cleveland is on the same level as construction and that’s saying a damn lot. The CAC or the Cleveland Athletic Club ended up closing because of the mass construction that was done while it was open. People who joined this club couldn’t get to it because of all the construction. You couldn’t park any where! They had to close because lack of members joining, returning, or coming because of the eye sore of those dreadful orange cones; amongst other reasons.

The Tower City Mall, Theater and Amphitheater

With over 100 specialty shops, six full-service restaurants, 11-screen theater, Time Warner Cable Amphitheater at Tower City, 2 Hotels and easy access through our connected walkway to Progressive Field and Quicken Loans Arena, Tower City is your downtown choice to shop, dine, play and stay!

Yea, it might sound all good and what not but who wants to dine, play and stay right above a damn rapid station? The whole first two floors of this used to be subway/train station shakes uncontrollably. Even the movie theater looks like it hasn’t even been remodeled since the 1900′s. The seats are hard, the floor sticks to your shoes, the screen’s quality look like Zenith floor model televisions with a bulb gone out in it. [Do Zenith even exist any more?] Not only that, you get harassed by the flash light cops for your identification. Yes you have to be a certain age to be on certain floors or in certain parts of the mall. If you don’t and you put up a fuss, you will get arrested by 5-0 which patrols the mall like they don’t have anything better to do. Oh yea, the front of the building is an eye sore;  it always smell like hot piss and beer no matter what the season. There are gates and other construction crap for your enjoyment. It looks like a concert is about to start everyday.

The Lack of Jobs & Opportunities

Well that’s for almost every major city on the east coast. Here though? The unemployment rate is almost 10.0. We got people who say they’re hiring, but aren’t actually hiring. Even McDonald’s and other fast food restaurants here are picky about who they hire. I don’t know if its like this any where else but here you have to have a high-school diploma or a GED to work at a fast food restaurant. If you don’t have that then you’re not working there.

The Cleveland Browns

Need I say more? The Cleveland Browns are a disgrace to the NFL. When was the last time they won ANYTHING? How many coaches has The Cleveland Browns had? I’ve lost count. I mean don’t like them or The Cavaliers. I don’t like The Cleveland Browns because they suck. The Cavaliers, I never liked them and I’m not going to start.

I guess I can start on the ugly now. I think that’s enough of the bad. I have to go and do the good over on a later date because I believe I’ve forgotten a few good things about Cleveland.

The Ugly

The Citizens

Man you would think this was back when there were separate bathrooms, restaurants and water fountains for different races as racist as these people are here. Then we got those who feel that they think they are safer on the West Side of Cleveland than the East Side of Cleveland. They fail to realize; East or West its STILL CLEVELAND. They get to bashing and downing people that they have no means of knowing at all.

The Mayor

He has no clue to what he want to do. He as corrupted as them folks that the FBI bombarded in on because they were taking tax payers money and buying large houses, cars, and other expensive shit they could of bought on their own salary. The crime rate went up the moment he stepped into office. I mean hell his niece or whatever was dating a convict and when it came down to it, she was a convict as well. No need to tell me that I voted for him, because I didn’t. I think I was 17 when he got into office so I couldn’t vote anyway.

The Cleveland Clinic

They are on my ugly list because they are so damn greedy. They buy out all these businesses, knock down all these rec’s, throw up this big dumb ass pond or parking garage(s) that they don’t need all because they can. Its like they don’t give a shit. They want to take everyone’s business or recreation center and turn into a vacant lot for years until they decide on what they want to do with it. Cleveland Clinic may be one of the best Hospitals in the nation but damn, come on everything shouldn’t be based on how many facilities or parking garages you can throw up in a years time.

The Crime

Hell that’s ugly wherever you go. Not just here. The rate is atrocious and this was before the recession got as bad as it got. Back in 2002 people were shooting up RTA buses on Halloween for no apparent reason so can’t blame on something as petty as the recession. That’s everyone’s excuse to everything. “My dog got cancer of the eyes because of the recession.” Blah!

I guess I can finish this later. I had a stroke in my arm due to my high blood-pressure a while back and my whole left arm is still sore [it was minor but enough to piss me off]. That’s why I haven’t been online or blogging [not that any one cares or anything]. So yea, I’ll finish this later.

Hastily Made Cleveland Tourism Video: 2nd Attempt

This was sent to me by a friend of mine, his name is Terrance and felt that this would be my favorite song/video of all time. Well the best part about this is the “We’re not Detroit” part. Which they are in fact #1 for the most dangerous city this year once again. I don’t like Ohio let alone Cleveland, hell I call the Cleveland Cavaliers the Cleveland Fagaliers because I don’t like them either. I haven’t liked them since grade school and because they have a golden boy isn’t going to make me change my mind. I like the Boston Celtics. Anyway, also I’m not saying Cleveland is better than Detroit or worse than Detroit or is Detroit, hell if it was though, I wouldn’t want famous people to perform here being that in Detroit people get mauled, robbed or jumped when they perform there well anyone famous anyway. Haha Detroit sucks XD!

Watch the video though.

Citizens of Cleveland Ohio worry about the wrong things

Here in Cleveland Ohio when people listen, watch, or read about bad news they always start with “Only on the East Side“. Well since you individuals never leave your damn house, how do you think such stupid things? You think you’re safe on the West? Hell the North or the South, these things happen regardless where you’re at or what color you are. Most of these fools who mention which side it happened on is White. They say they aren’t racist but they are cause that’s all they worry about is the blacks on the East Side. This tragic event that has happened Thursday, if you want to read about it, click the links below, the only thing that a few people could say was that the blacks from the East Side was making their way to the West Side. Cleveland, Ohio is still #7 on the list of most dangerous cities. It doesn’t say which side of Cleveland, its Cleveland period. I don’t know when or how this war with the Crime rate for the West and East side’s of Cleveland but these fools who don’t want to look at the fact that people have died, 5 innocent people have died cause of one man have issues.

Shit like that disgusts me because that’s all they see is what color was they and what side of the city it happened on. What the fuck is that? How the fuck do you sleep at night when all you can sit and say is, “It only happens on the East, that’s where all the ignorant black folks are“? You pompous buffoon it all changes when something bad happens to you. When The Cleveland Plain Dealer make a article about something that has happen to you, you want justice regardless of where it happened or who did it. No but the shoe isn’t on that foot for you, its on the what side of Cleveland it happened on foot. It could be the most tragic shit ever and all these racists bastards can think of which side of Cleveland it happened on the skin pigment of the culprit(s) who did it.

It was a shooting down here where I live which is Downtown Cleveland and yet again they found a way to turn on the color issue. Yea they were colored and the people they shot and the one they killed were Latino and Caucasian. That can happen any where in Cleveland, let alone Ohio. I don’t know what it is with these civilians here but they need to get a got damn grip. Or shut they simple-minded asses up or better yet just move.

A few comments that were made about this whole ordeal was toward Obama. The hell for? Obama didn’t make him shoot his family he sure as hell didn’t give him the gun. Obama just got in office and yet people are blaming him for these deaths. When they have no one to point the finger at they get reckless. Some of these idiots who are commenting needs to be aborted. Yea, its never too late.

I will post print screen shots of the fools making these comments. A few were deleted by the author of those articles cause they were out right ignorant. One of them were “Those don’t sound like West Side people names“. The fuck kind of bullshit you smoking? That’s the dumbest shit of the year.

Then we got ignorant fucks who applaud in this type of shit. He needs to be dealt with too. His state of mind will take him out sooner or later.

Cleveland Ohio is # 11 on the List of Most Dangerous Cities

City of Cleveland

It doesn’t matter what number Cleveland is on the list. Its the fact that its on the list right alongside Youngstown. Its sad but its nothing new. The article I read though was saying it as if it was some type of competition and then pulled it off as if number 11 is better than number 1 at the same time. I don’t know if it was their choice of words or anything but its not new at all. Citizens all over the nation brags how their city is the “murder capital” or they have the largest death/crime rates. Its mostly the African Americans who glorify on such pointless information.

If I were them, and I really don’t even have to say that; I would be ashamed. Its sad that people have to fear their lives everyday. I hope things get better. For everyone.

RTA HealthLine [Cleveland, Ohio]

A project that began nearly 50 years ago as a vision for stimulating economic growth and improving the quality of life in Northeast Ohio is now a reality.

The ribbon was officially cut today on the HealthLine, the nation’s first federally funded Bus Rapid Transit system. Cleveland sports legends Lenny Barker, Kevin Mack, and Campy Russell joined area youth athletes in the official ribbon-cutting duties. Local, state, and national officials joined the public in sending the hybrid vehicle on its maiden voyage with the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA)

The celebration continues all the weekend. On Saturday, Oct. 25, there will be a Community Open House & Scavenger Hunt along the HealthLine route. At 6 p.m., a free family concert downtown on Mall B features entertainment from the Disney Channel, and American Idol winner Jordin Sparks. A fireworks show choreographed to rock classics concludes the evening.

Service on all RTA trains and buses routes is free Saturday and Sunday. Weekend details.

Local foundations, the business community, non-profit organizations, the cities of Cleveland and East Cleveland, the Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, and RTA all played a role in the planning of the event. The unveiling of the line presents an opportunity to bring Clevelanders together – drawing attention to our city’s many cultural and intellectual assets, celebrating what has been accomplished and what the future holds – pumping new life and energy into our town.

RTA General Manager Joe Calabrese is thankful for the community support.

From businesses and foundations, to our cultural institutions and civic leaders, we were all in agreement that the city needed to celebrate the current and anticipated $4.3 billion in new development along the route,” says Calabrese. “Donations, both cash and in-kind, took this idea and turn it into reality. We believe the events planned for this weekend should attract folks from throughout the region.

The HealthLine connects the region’s two largest employment centers – downtown and University Circle. Beyond this, it’s the connection to the region’s new economy. Industrialists — like Rockefeller and Severance — made Euclid Avenue a showplace for the city. Along the route, one will find world-class health care, and a world-renowned orchestra, inspiring art and architecture, and nationally respected centers for learning and entertainment. The once-famous avenue is also becoming a place for tech firms, empty nesters and Iron Chefs. And soon, it will be a place to display advancements in medical technology, with the creation of the Medical Mart.

Creating a fast link between downtown and University Circle will address a logistic issue that has hindered the city’s development for a number of years – the separation of hotels, major employers and venues in Cleveland’s central business district from cultural institutions, hospital systems and research centers. The short 20-minute commute will change the definition of what is perceived to be the city’s “center.” It will also change the direction in which people are commuting – with Warehouse residents boarding the HealthLine in the morning for a day of work in University Circle and Case students catching a ride at night for a game at Progressive Field.

Like Silicon Valley in California and the Quadrangle in the Carolinas, the HealthLine route is Northeast Ohio’s center for job creation and research. It’s also a catalyst for redevelopment. More than $4.3 billion in development has occurred or has been committed along the route. This includes rehabilitation of old buildings into housing and retail centers, new locations for business startups, and major expansions at universities, museums and hospitals. Signs of this investment can already be seen in downtown, midtown, University Circle and East Cleveland.

The HealthLine will be the first federally funded Bus Rapid Transit line – putting Cleveland in the national spotlight. The transit system offers the benefits of rail without the tracks. This includes a faster commute through dedicated transit lanes and rail stations, off-board fare payment, and traffic signal prioritization.

Green thinking is an integral part of the HealthLine. The 21 hybrid-electric vehicles used on the line are powered by clean diesel engines and electric transmissions with 100 kW motors and 600-volt nickel hydride battery packs. This unique power train reduces particulate emissions while dramatically improving fuel efficiency. Along Euclid Avenue, the planting of 1,500 trees has greened up the streetscape, and dedicated bike lanes provide commuters another green alternative to driving.

About RTA:

RTA is the nation’s 13th-largest public-transit system, serving more than 45 percent of all public-transit riders in Ohio. Its 2,753 employees operate 108 rail cars on 34 miles of track and 624 buses on 1,606 route miles.

RTA Rapid Transit

Jaywalkers and nonworking fare machines were among minor glitches on the RTA HeathLine’s first day of operation Monday.

The bus/rapid transit system runs on Euclid Avenue from Public Square to the Stokes/Windermere station in East Cleveland.

The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority had touted the fare vending machines in each station as a major factor in speeding up the route since people would prepay and board quickly at the front or back doors.

But the machines weren’t working Monday morning and likely won’t until next week, said RTA spokesman Jerry Masek. He said testing of the machines is incomplete, and, for now, drivers will collect the fares.

Jaywalkers, however, are likely to be a recurring problem, officials said.

Transit police were busy Monday issuing warnings to people who exited the vehicle, hopped off the station’s platform located in the center of Euclid Avenue, then crossed the street and traffic, Masek said. Riders existing the HealthLine need to walk to the end of the station and use the cross walk at the traffic light.

Riders will be given a grace period before RTA starts issuing tickets, he said.

Also Monday, many people appeared to be unaware that they were supposed to board the new vehicle instead of the popular No. 6 bus it replaces, Masek said. The transit authority may post temporary signs about the HealthLine.

A number of RTA officials were in and around the HealthLine before 6 a.m. Monday to help riders, Masek said. They also passed out cards listing new fares on all RTA bus and rail systems that went into effect Monday. Most riders were aware of the fare increases, Masek said.

That above may all sound nice and everything but, I think its retarded. You got this big ass pole sticking right in the middle of the aisle on these buses.  So if a driver is going fast and then slam on his breaks and they’re walking to find a seat at the same time all the other shit is going on, they’re going to smack dead into the pole.

The far has gone up once again. Mind you this is not cause of gas; far from it. They built this big dumb ass pointless Heathline in the dead center of the street and it the vehicles alone where 1 million bucks a piece and I believe there is 10-15 of them. Yes its cause of that. There was nothing wrong with the old regular buses and bus stops we had. They went and wasted money on shit we didn’t even need. Knowing damn well the coaches is going to be vandalized within the next week or so.

No telling when the prices to ride the bus is going to drop. Which I doubt will be any time soon. I’m better off paying for a car note and gas than riding the bus. People were riding the bus to get a relief from driving with the gas prices rising well they mind as well dust off their keys and hop right back in their cars cause riding a bus and paying for gas is no different.

Update:

Riding the ‘HealthLine’, I’ve noticed a few things. First the pay boxes are outside in the bus stops, not on the bus. They do it this way because they think it’ll be faster that way and so they can fine you when you don’t have your tickets when the Transit Authority make random checks. Second these random checks the transit authority make don’t really solve anything. There’s days they don’t check at all and there are days they’ll check once. When they do make these checks, the people with no tickets just watch out for them and get off at that stop they’re standing at and the transit police don’t even check them.

The transit police just hops right on the bus and check those who is still on and not those who is getting off. Thirdly, the fines are from $80 to $250 and if you have a certain amount, they’ll put you in jail. Some people tend to get away with getting these fines because when they see that the transit police is about to get on the bus, they’ll run like a bat out of hell off the bus [most of the time these multiple offenders are of course black]. Now the bus has to sit here while the transit police make a report so in case there’s a transit officer patrolling in that area, they can catch him/her. I honestly believe they did it this way so they can get all that money back they wasted making the HealthLine a reality. It’s a pain in the ass and it’s pretty stupid. The bus drivers drive so slow up the street and often times there are 3 of them going one way at once and there’s usually two of them with little to no people on them. Then when someone is in their ‘lane’ they don’t even give the person a chance to move out-of-the-way, they prefer blowing the person ear-drums out with their loud and obnoxious horn. I can see if they were late but half the time – most of the time they’re on time and doing below the speed limit, so what’s the fucking hurry?

For one way, it’s $2.25; for an all day pass it’s $5.00. The fare is supposedly supposed to go up yet again at the end of the year. It wouldn’t have to go up any higher if they didn’t make this waste of space in the middle of the damn street. Ohio’s tax is $7.25 in some places and $10.00 in others. People are leaving by the boat loads and they want to constantly raise every damn thing. In a minute all you’re going to see is tumbleweed and crack heads on every single corner; they’ll be the only one who can’t afford to leave.

Fast link my ass, I can get out and run faster than the damn buses that crawl up the street like they could be doing something else. If my knees would let me, I would. The HealthLine has been in fruition for a good solid 3-4 years now. Where the hell are the jobs they’re supposedly talking about huh? Who got the jobs? RTA’s Transit Police?

They need to get bus drivers with better attitude. I remember on one occurrence when the fare boxes weren’t working and I got on the bus to pay. The old bag got mad and asked me did I do it right. Bitch I fix and build computers for a living, I think I can work a punk ass fare box! She acted as if me paying my fare on the bus was a huge disturbance. I so wanted to tell her if she didn’t like her job she should quit, if she can’t quit she should learn to deal with her misfortune and be grateful her old wrinkly ass still have a job.  Oh but don’t be on the regular buses and they’re driving slow. Not because they’re early but because they’re talking to someone who should be sitting their asses down in a seat and not distracting the driver. You think my language is bad? Well this woman who was driving a 2241 bus; I remember the number for some odd reason, I would have remembered her name but she didn’t have a name plate any where. She was cursing so bad she could make a sailor blush. Cursing loud in front of elders and children. I wanted to so badly to kick that man who was blocking the walkway just to talk to the driver in the back of his damn head. They’re smoking on the buses, talking on their cell phones, yelling off the bus; conversing with people on the side-walk, waving hi to people they know. Do that shit when you’re in your car…alone. Not when there are other people lives in danger here. They have no regard for anyone else, they’re nasty and disrespectful. I should put not all in here some where huh? Well yea not all of em are but the majority are. Especially the women drivers. Picking their nails, texting, eating, keeping up with the drama amongst the people who supposed to be seated but standing in the aisle crowding the bus up and slowing down the flow of things.

Another thing, people with wheelchairs, they don’t care. They just let the person roll on the bus; get in the wheelchair area of the bus and then they’re about their business. They don’t tie the person down, use restraints or anything. With these crazy ass drivers literally stomping down on the breaks, the person could fly out of their chair, then who can spell ‘lawsuit’? Yep, you got it; hopefully they can as dumb as these Clevelanders are. RTA has had a lot of accidents due to dumb ass drivers in the past few years, you would think they would be more cautious. They only thing they did was pretty much put a loud-speaker on the outside of the bus that says that “the bus is turning” and to “look both ways”. After that last incident where the bus driver turned her bus right into someone who was in the cross walk crossing the street. The poor man had the right away of course. Here people can turn on a red light and things like that. The woman that hit him was on her cellphone; she was suspended. I think she’s in jail now. Shit she better be; vehicle manslaughter. The way they cut people off, they cause a lot of accidents that way. They think because they’re riding a bigger vehicle they can do what they want. One day they should hop in their car and forget they’re in a car and cut someone off. Or be behind a bus that cut them off and see if they like it. I mean that’s if they’re driving; I’m seeing more bus drivers catching the bus to their job than anyone else.

If I had a choice I would ride a bike or simply walk but I’m pretty much disabled and at the moment sadly, RTA is my only option.
