The Young and the Restless Spoiler: Thursday 4-29-2010

Thursday April 29, 2010 spoiler for The Young and the Restless.

Part 1:

Wheeled into the interrogation room, Phyllis gives Nick a kiss – and reports that Mike looks like hell (and is spread thin between him, Victor – and problems with Lauren). On the phone, Sarah and Patty go over their plan – Phyllis will be home from the jail by 8. Patty will be at the police station by 8 – giving her an airtight alibi (while Sarah gets rid of Lauren’s BFF, Phyllis). Patty’s giddy with delight. Jack will be sad (and grateful for his supportive wife). Before she breaks out the champagne, Patty’s reminded of her role. After leaving the station, Patty’s to go to the Baldwin condo – to kill Mike. Both murders MUST happen tonight. Sarah hangs up when Mike returns home (but only to pick up ‘Ironman’). How do they get back on track? he wonders – has ‘Lauren’ given up? Oh sorry – was ‘Lauren’ supposed to be all crying and clingy? If Mike didn’t know better, he’d think she’s glad to be rid of him and Fen – what happened to the woman he talked to on the phone the other day? OK – so Mike IS a workaholic – maybe counseling will help. He hasn’t given up – but after yesterday (and for Fen’s sake) he must consider a legal separation. Sarah figures that after tonight it’ll be a mute point anyway. Huh? What’s ‘tonight’? When Jack returns home, Patty informs that she’s off to the police station – to provide some details. Mentioning the separation, Jack won’t be around ‘later’ (to discuss it). Can Patty ask where he’s going – without sounding ‘possessive’? To see Phyllis? You can’t do that, Patty causes Jack’s usual puzzled grimace. Her head in Jana’s lap, Lauren dreams of a romantic evening with Mike. But wait – Fen runs in – who are you? Where’s Mommy!? Lauren awakens with a jolt – crying. As she stifles her weeping, Jana continues to sleep – but a lurking Ryder’s listening (guilt ridden and heart broken).

Part 2:

Sarah gets it – Mike wants to protect their son. As hurtful as that is, maybe ‘Lauren’ DOES need to work on her behavior. Can they meet later to talk? 8:30? Sure, Mike leaves smiling. It’s been nice knowin’ ya, Sarah quips before heading out. Phyllis updates on the Newman vs. DA’s office lawsuit – malicious prosecution, harassment, false imprisonment (and who’s onboard). When Nick wishes his Dad would recant his confession, Phyllis isn’t so sure he’s innocent. Nick’s sure Victor didn’t ‘harm’ Adam (out of respect for Hope). Yeah, well – Phyllis is just focused on getting Nick home. How you holding up? Ryder appears to ask Lauren and Jana (who thanks him for untying them last night). When Ryder claims he has no choice but to go along with Daisy and Sarah, Lauren lashes out – at least THEY admit they’re monsters. Jana joins in – Kevin turned his life around – so can you. Man up – stand up to them! Get us out – before something really bad happens! Daisy crawls through the chain link fence to meet Sarah (who wants her to be part of tonight’s big plans). Cool – what are we gonna do? Double homicide? Mike? He’s pretty cute. But he’s a bore – Sarah’s life as Lauren will be a helluva lot more fun without him. Fen? He’ll be shipped off to boarding school. The other victim then? Phyllis. But Sarah’s not killing her – Daisy is. Back in the interrogation room, Phyllis updates that Nikki’s watching Summer (who thinks he’s on a business trip). Nick’s wife and daughter both want him home. Pomerance marches in – to bring up the lawsuit. Phyllis then scoffs at his offer to take a polygraph test. Mike arrives next – and ‘takes great pleasure’ in serving Mr DA. Demanding Jack stick around to discuss their marriage, Patty claims she’s been off kilter since Adam’s escape – she was more traumatized than she thought. Jack ain’t buyin’ it – this started long before Adam. Patty then hears Emily’s voice coming from the portrait.

Part 3:

(you couldn’t control your jealousy, she taunts). As Jack now gripes about ‘jealousy’, Emily saunters in wearing her wedding gown – let’s see ya wiggle your way out of THIS one. Emily continues to interject comments – as Jack berates – and Patty scrambles. You’re losing it Patty – how long before you have a complete breakdown? Emily taunts (then applauds as Jack gives up and marches out). Now alone, Patty tries to regroup – Jack will be back. Someone’s losing their marbles, Emily taunts. Shut up! Patty repeats – grabbing her head to exorcize Emily (from her head and the room). Sarah easily manipulates Daisy into killing Phyllis. As ‘Lauren’ signs in at the gate’, Daisy will be in the car’s trunk. When Daisy hesitates at ‘doing the deed’, Sarah talks of how much Daisy reminds her of her mother. Ryder’s soft – but she can count on Daisy (to make her Mama proud). She also offers up the oh so hot Scotty (who’ll be home for Mike’s funeral). OK – how should Daisy kill her? Pulling out the string on Daisy’s hoodie, Sarah decides on strangulation (as Ryder listens in). Paperwork in hand, the DA’s disappointed they’re proceeding with the lawsuit. Debating who should be disappointed – and who’s making ‘gutsy moves’, Mike salivates over the taxpayers reaction to his ‘frivolous persecution’ of the Newman family. The DA’s actually there to offer his client a deal – minimal jail time for his plea of no contest (to conspiracy). Mike and Phyllis are unimpressed – prove the conspiracy or let him go. Nick’s ready for a trial – bring it on. So be it, Pomerance exits. Mike’s pleased – Nick played it exactly right. Yeah Lauren WAS tough on Ryder – she’s done begging. She then whines about how confused Mike and Fen must be. And what if they get ‘in the way’? When Ryder comes back – pretend to pass out, Lauren instructs. Jana’s not sure she can hurt Ryder. My son’s LIFE is in danger! Lauren insists – she’ll do whatever it takes.

Part 4:

Sarah continues to coach Daisy – assuming that with ‘all that security’, the Newman’s don’t lock doors or windows. In case, she’ll leave the front door ajar. On Lauren’s signal, Daisy’s to pop in and strangle the wheelchair bound Phyllis. Daisy balks at being set up for murder. Why would Sarah do that? She’ll tell them it was a bald man with tattoos. Ryder continues to listen (as Sarah reassures the nervous Daisy). No one will question ‘Lauren’s’ story. Phyllis will be alone – trust me. Patty calls on cue – we have a problem. Sarah’s not happy to hear Jack’s going to see Phyllis – you HAVE to stop him. I’m trying! Patty frets. What do I do? Use your imagination – tie him up in bed – you know what you have to do. Patty promises to take care of it. You’ll muck it up, like you always do, Emily’s portrait taunts – you can’t do anything right. Leave me alone, Patty hurls a pillow at the portrait. Jack comes in – hey – you OK? Fine, Patty assures as she gulps water (while Jack wears his usual ‘what the hell’ face). Arranging to meet up at the carousel later, Sarah hopes Daisy’s not getting cold feet. What if I can’t do it? Daisy’s nervous. Sarah barks about Phyllis being equally responsible for her mother’s death. These people MURDERED your mother. Eye for an eye – not like you haven’t done it. Daisy was just a kid when she killed Max – it just happened – this is different. You might become Mrs Scott Granger, Sarah reminds. Daisy takes the hoody string – I’d like that. Don’t do it, Ryder appears as soon as Sarah exits – worrying he’ll somehow get blamed. Why do we have to kill people? And what about Fen? Concluding she’s actually going through with this, Ryder marches off (unaware that Daisy’s lifted his car keys). Mike packs up – things being ‘rough’ at home doesn’t begin to cover it. He deeply appreciates that the Newman’s care. Now alone, Nick and Phyllis feel badly for their good friend – hopefully, the Baldwin’s work it out.

Part 5:

And Yes – Phyllis is fine with Nick rejecting the DA’s deal – he can’t compromise his ‘integrity’. Nick’s had time to reflect (in his cell) – thank God he has Phyllis in his life. I love you. Tell Summer the same – Daddy will be home real soon. Nick just hates the thought of them being alone at the ranch. Don’t be silly – there’s so much security at the ranch. On her way out, Phyllis wheels over to thank Mike again. Equally stunned that Lauren bought a Ferrari – horrified that Fen’s afraid of his Mom – and that Mike’s moved out, Phyllis wants to help – she’ll call Lauren. Still at home, Jack suspects Patty’s just stalling him from seeing Phyllis. Patty can’t tell him who he can be friends with – but if he still loves her – and wants to save this marriage, he’ll be home when she gets home. I won’t be long. Now alone, Jack’s got that face on again – and shakes his head as he looks at the portrait. Ryder approaches the bars – he can’t say what’s wrong. Well – maybe he can. Daisy and Mama Bear … something horrible …. Mike and Phyllis are gonna die tonight. What!? Lauren gasps. Nick and the DA are in the interrogation room again. Without his lawyer, Nick’s got nothing to say. Fine – listen. The DA threatens to charge Phyllis with conspiracy and obstruction of justice. Your kid will have two parents in jail – think about it. What a coincidence, Emily says – as she bumps into Mike at the station. Can she meet him later – to discuss Lauren? Pick his brain? Sure – if it’ll help. Come over to the condo when you’re done here . Jack calls Patty. He’s thought about what she said – and WILL be home when she gets back. Patty thanks him – you don’t know what this means to me. Hanging up, Jack picks a book up off the ground – and looks deeply disturbed by the childish, colourful doodling that fills ‘Emily’s’ journal. At the station, Patty calls Sarah to say Jack won’t be a problem – we’re a go. She then tells the DA that she’s there to revise her statement
