Skinny Jeans and the Men Who Wear Them

Some will argue that men who wear skinny jeans are considered gay all based on the fact that people assume that in actuality, all gay men wear skinny jeans. So if someone who doesn’t wear them walk past two men wearing skinny jeans and that person know at least one them are gay, you catch my drift; its going to lead to the assumption that the other person is gay. All gay men don’t wear skinny jeans duh; that’s not the point. The fact that I can go into a mens store and vise versa now and pick out my jeans is weird. Not saying that I do its just, in my opinion skinny jeans aren’t something that belong on a man. Fitted yes, skin-tight, boot-cut jeans no.

What boggles me is the fact that there are a lot of men out there who find those who wear them to be gay just on that alone. They don’t even have to know the person, they just know that if they’re wearing jeans that a woman would wear then they are gay. I don’t understand why men should worry about what another man is wearing honestly. If they don’t wear them then they shouldn’t care but whatever.

There was something on the news about a school in Texas banning skinny jeans from being worn in school. I had this thought that maybe people just find it uncomfortable that men are basically wearing clothes people are used to seeing on just women. I can understand that because if I were to date someone who wore them [which I won't] and I go and do the laundry, I wouldn’t know who’s jeans is whose. Then there’s the occasion that we might end up in a clothing store fighting over the last pair of skinny jeans. I’m getting sick to my stomach just thinking about it.

Some can argue that this all started in the media [Kanye West] and people are just doing what they see instead of doing their own thing. Maybe, just maybe men are trying to embrace the femininity by wearing skinny jeans. Some are just going too far with the trend that their sexuality becomes awful blurry. I sometimes have to stop and ask myself is this guy gay or straight? It shouldn’t matter to me but if you approach me and ask me for my number and you’re wearing skinny jeans; I don’t know what your motive is. It could be so we can go shopping together or go to the movies; play video games, or …go shopping.

Is this really a trend or just an excuse for men to show their true colors? Once considered “hardcore” rappers are proudly wearing nut-hugging pants that would give any woman a yeast infection. Don’t you dare ask him if he’s gay let alone allow someone who is gay walk up to him and cordially invite him to join a gay bar with him on occasions. Not only that, they’re leaving nothing to be desired to said homo; they’re sagging skinny their jeans. If that isn’t a sign that says, “surprise buttsex” I don’t know what does. You straight men who wear these skinny jeans have the nerve to sag them like they’re baggy jeans. I would say those that do this have some big balls but obviously not.

Honestly, how do you maneuver in those jeans without having to shift your balls around every 5 minutes? Don’t your nuts need to breathe? The first thing that comes to mind when I see a male in skin-tight skinny jeans is in..fer..til..ity.

Doesn’t it bother you that metro-sexuality and homosexuality is being band together with heterosexuality? Don’t your sexuality as a man feel compromised? Shouldn’t it piss you off that these skinny jeans are raising a lot of questions about who or what you are?

  1. You say it like gay is something bad.

  2. You sound like a fat chick.

    • How can I ‘sound’ like anything? Can you hear me? Are you fat? How do you know what a fat chick ‘sound’ like anyway? You wear skinny jeans? You hate yourself?

  3. lol in Aust they wear skinny jeans but the crutch hangs half way down their legs so I think their balls is ok. you still see their grundies though – no more boxers, just jocks that hang out the top – the young lesbians wear the same – the mum in me wants to pull their pants up for them! lol What pisses me off is the appropriation of povo (poverty) clothing for the rich. oversized, too tight, layered look, doc martins, tatoos and bra straps showing all are povo traditions of clothing , they appropriate the fashion, commodify it and sell it back. Fuck there hasn’t been a new fashion that i havent been already wearing for the last 20 years just because i have been poor and am a dag!! :)
anyway I like your posts – your gutzy, gorgeous and say your piece. love how you stand strong for your self in the face of crap! If you ever work out what it is that supports you to do this let me know so I can get some!
    love to you
