My sims were in love and when they were sitting in front of the fire place the thing went up in flames and the girl tried to put it out and she was set on fire. When the Grim Reaper came I panicked and used the move_objects on code and deleted her and the reaper. Well I fricken saved it and now spooky sounds follow her everywhere she goes. How do I get rid of the spooky noises. Please don’t tell me I have to kill her off. I just made her a star

I’m gonna have to kill her huh? Well that sucks. Can I create a new sim and move her in the house? Or do I have to create a new family(girl) and hope that she shows up downtown?
if you have any other sims on the lot with cooking and fishing skills at level 10, you can catch a deathfish at the graveyard. you can also use the “buydebug” cheat (after using testingcheatsenabled true) and place a graveyard fishing spawner on your lot, along with a lifefruit plant (you don’t have to have any gardening skill whatsoever to harvest it). Then, with $12,000 (using motherlode or familyfunds cheat if you dont have that much money) you can buy the ambrosia recipe from the bookstore and have another sim with max cooking skill learn it. Then you kill the sim with creepy noises following it, wait for the opportunity to get her back as a playable ghost, make the ambrosia, and have the ghost eat it. They should come back to life. I’m not sure if the creepy noises will be gone or not (because I’ve never had this happen to my sims) but it’s worth a shot, right?

Hey my sim died because a meteorite crashed into her one day, the sky got dark all of a sudden then I see the big flaming rock hurling towards her and BLAM! She died……. I was so confused and now there is a dent in the front yard……..
So what’s the problem exactly?
i have a ghost haunting my house right now and while my sim was sleeping the ghost started sleeping with my sim… my sim and the ghost had no relationships at all and i have 3 bedrooms with one sim in the house… then after a few hours in the game the ghost was still out of its grave and doing things like it was a living sim and it stayed out of its grave for 2 days. (sim days) so far the ghost is still there. any idea on whats going on?
I had a ghost sim do that. If the ghost sim’s grave is on the lot, it’s going to do that. In my game the ghost eventually went away for a sim day then it came back. I simply just put the lot in my inventory and it stopped.
How do you kill a sim ghost?
You can’t kill something that’s already dead.
According to this page, a sim cannot use a death flower to save themself from death by old age. However, one of my sims was able to use it when he was supposed to die of old age…
now i have to wait for him to die all over again xD

you have to put a space after enabled so it looks like this:

Go to options, then uncheck the box “enable aging”
can you please help me. one of my sims died and the grim reaper came but now he wont finish reaping. the ghost and the reaper just sit in my kitchen i tried all kinds of things but they wont move and i cant touch them or the tombstome because its “in use” so i thought maybe killing another sim might get him to actually reap and it wont work. the other sim died but now there is no ghost of him and and both “dead” sims are on the sidebar but i cant click on them or do anything and now i cant have anymore kids. a friend said to move them out but it wont work because “this family cant move yet” pretty much cant do anything until they actually fully die. does anyone know any cheats or anything to to get rid of them. delete them or something?? the rest of the family goes through the day but the ghost and reaper are right in front of my stairs and and i cant move the stairs anywhere else and it takes the rest of the family forever for them to get around them. please any help is much appreciated
I have a glitch that the grim does not move anything at all it stick at one place on the other stret and the menu does nt let me edit townies. cause it says someones dying, also i see no grave and the dead guy just lies on the floor
Hey, my sim just got electricuted and died – i freaked out and paused when the grim reaper came. I got my sim back, exactly as he was be4, nothing changed.. this is what i did — As the grim reaper appeared, i paused. Cntrl Shift C and i typed in moveobjects on. Then i picked up the grim reaper and clicked Delete. I also deleted my dead guy on the ground. I then went to “Edit Town” without saving.
i changed active households, then went back in to the original one, and my guy was standing where he had been dead… Perfectly fine.. same needs, same career, same girlfriend. Simple and easy.

Ok, so ive read like all of the comments, Thanks lee for all the help, it really helped. Ive made a little girl a ghost, to test, and now she lives with her sister, mom, step dad(i got the call from the science center, and i made reserect, or whatever’d him, i found him in some random back yard, and stole the grave.) and brother. So, never mind that, So, i went to make a different game, because it was like i had everyone in that town that i played with the most, and so i went to try again, then i thought…i wont have the option. Do i wait? Or do i just copy the town, and make a ghost on there and move it out?
So, my sim’s husband drown recently, and I put his grave in the basement (because he loved making nectar :3) and he appeared one night and… well it’s about two in the afternoon and he’s still there.
I was making a graveyard and one of the ghost randomly went to my neighbors house and WON’T COME BACK! he went into her house and just stood there. once the sun rose i thought he would come back, NO! HE WAS STILL THERE! help?
ok i fast-forwarded and 1 sim week later he finally came home but i still don’t know why he left, tell me please so it won’t happen again (what if he leaves again but never comes back)?
I have 5 people in my family, 2 people (mom&dad(old)) moved out to find a new house then the husband died of old age and he comes back every night and just romes around. While he’s roming, the wife (somtimes) in the middle of the night, a (what looks like a ghost) baby appears in her arms and I want to know what it means.. ANYONE know? P.S I have never had a baby die before.

2 sim days. Time varies though.

It depends on the other opportunities and when they’ll present themselves. If you don’t wait for it, it usually pops up. Just go about your day and it’ll soon come up. Which is why time varies. It was 2 sim days for me it could be 3-4 sim days for others.
yeah ive been making my sim do all the stuff he needs to do so maybe i just have to wait longer
i have a question. it says for the quickest way to get the call from the science lab is to set your sims needs to static then after a few game hours or days your sim will get their first opportunity does it mean sim hours and days or real life hours and days?

Hey, I recently tried playing the crumplebottom family in sunset valley (the one with the dead husbnd), cus i thought it’d be cool to have a ghost hanging around the house every night. But he only showed up for 1 night, and i never saw him again. So i made another couple, and killed off the husband. He didnt show up the first few nights, but then he did, for one night, and again, i didnt see him again. Any help on what i can do to see the ghost again? (i go and mourn the tombstone from 11pm till 6am everyday, the two sims had a high relationship before death), oh, and i killed him off by drowning the guy.
Is his tombstone at the house or in your inventory?
In the house.
Put it outside in the backyard.
it is in the bakyard, thanks for the help though. I got the oh my ghost opportunity, so i made it a playable sim, its just a pity i cant possess stuff… lol. Oh and is there really a mod where sims can kill each other? if there is, can you tell me where i can find it?
Its called Dexter the Bear and you can get it off of ModTheSims.

I have a question about the ghost babies. I had a baby by a sim that wasn’t my wife, and while that sim was pregnant, I was playing another household at the time and when I decided to go back to the pregnant sim, the baby was nowhere to be found and when I looked at the family tree, the baby was white or gray. I can’t even get a tombstone for the baby. Do you know why?
I was so shocked today as i left a plate of ambrosia on the kitchen counter when i ghost came along and ate it. it brought her back to life and then she left the house!

I dont think you mentioned a ghost in CAS.
When i put my playable ghosts in cas, and once im done changing them, it wont load back to the original screen. How are you able to change their clothes and hair without the game not loading?
Change their clothes before you kill them…because there is no other way.

Now I really have a problem. It’s kinda like Jordan’s. But I tried to kill people too. Just that I am not making them eat for days and not letting them sleep and stuff. But the thing is, I didn’t use any cheats. Now I can’t really kill people. Any suggestions?
There’s no way to kill a Sim without cheating. Unless you let them go without hunger until they die or allow them to die of old age.

I have the Green Thumb trait and Super Green Thumb trait(I think that’s what it’s called), but when I go to the cemetary at any time, I still can’t get the Death Blossom. Any suggestions?
You can try and go around the town and collect seeds and grow your own death plant. That has proven to be faster/better.
But I thought you could only get it by fishing in random spots or harvesting it in the cemetary?
Nope, I’ve found death flower seeds all over the map using the collector.
Press Ctrl Shift C and type in buydebug on and it will let you go to the debug options. Click on the question mark in the second viewing panel. Then click on the plants section and you can plant a death plant that is ready for harvest. Viola!
woah woah woah! my sim had a baby and it got the burgular trait! is there anyway this happened? the lady had 10 gardening skill and the man had 10 writing skill. i hope nothing goes wrong!

Nope, there are no vampires in TS3.

I was at my friend’s house and was playing Sims 3 on her laptop and we messed up the game somehow so we had to move in with an already programmed family. So we wanted to kill the family so we could have the house to ourselves and so we killed (I forgot what his whole name was)Beau. So then the Grim Reaper came and stood by Beau. But he wouldn’t leave. But the rest of the house was moving on like any other day but the Grim Reaper still didn’t leave; he was just bouncing up and down with Beau’s Purplish-Pinkish ghost. Have any suggestions why hat was happening?

There are no black ghosts, they are gray…
a black ghost is a type of ghost that was killed by the deadly mummy curse.
That would be true if it was before the expansion pack but its not. I haven’t seen a black ghost…ever and I always make every ghost imaginable…they’re gray, not black.

There were no black ghosts BEFORE the expansion packs. This guide was made BEFORE World Adventures.

No, you can’t allow the Grim Reaper to move into your house.
ive killed a loved sim to get a ghost baby but i have lots of cooking skills . how long will i have to wait for the phone call???
I don’t recall but usually when you busy your Sim with other things it’ll just pop up randomly. Its mostly a waiting game.
i have waited a month in sim time then the message randimly poped up 2 days after i came back from sim holiday in al simm what ever its called ….. egypt to be fair

If you have the unlucky trait and die anyother way than old age the grim reaper brings you back. Then he says “your misfortune amuses me” or whatever.
Yesterday my friends Hannah and Bryon were over, and I was showing Bryon the Sims 3 game that has Hannah, Bryon, Me, and a few of our friends. I went downstairs for 5 minutes while Bryon was playing the game (for the first time) and his sisters Sam randomly dropped dead in front of the school building when all of her stats were up (no drowning, electrocution, etc.) while all he did was scroll around so now we are utterly confused and I was wondering if you had an explanation.
I may be stretching my logic but what traits did that Sim have?

Is there anything different you did besides allowing him to die of old age?
go to your options and turn off aging. if you want your other sims to age, but not the ghost, press ctrl + shift + c and type in testingcheatsenabled true, and shift + click on the sim you want to age, and press trigger age.
You can go to the options menu (you can find it under where you save) and I think in the third tab theres an option called “enable aging” with a check mark next to it. You can click the check mark to make it go away and then none of the sims in your town will age.
If placing her gravestone on the graveyard doesn’t work or taking her stone to the science center, can I take her back home ? I really would be disappointed losing her completely, even as a ghost.
I know I must sound like a lunatic, but my whole game (experience) is based on her. If I lose Pauline in my game, I know for sure I start from scratch. Haha

Yea, you can take your gravestone back home I believe if reviving her at the Science center doesn’t work. Just make sure you save before you do any major changes and if it work, you can save after but if it don’t, just restart and you’ll still have your gravestone.

Ehm, no… I didn’t put her gravestone in the graveyard. I placed it in my own garden on the lot. Do I have to place it in the graveyard to get the opportunity from the science center to resurrect her ?

I don’t think so, but it wouldn’t hurt to try. Or I think you just visit the Science center and the option should be there when you click on the building. Also, that could be one of the reasons why she keeps coming back because that’s where her gravestone is, …at home.
Place the gravestone from your plot at home into your inventory (not the family inventory). Go to the science center and choose to ressurect her. After ressurection, she will be added to your family. Take her home and feed her Ambrosia. You must have level 10 cooking skills, a deathfish and a life fruit to do make it. The ambrosia will make her human again.
Hi there.
My partner died and returns every night as a ghost. Is this the resurrection they’re talking about ? Or… Can the departed person become an active (alive) sim in my household again ? If this isn’t possible, then I rather restart the game from scratch to get her (Pauline) back.
It was fun for a while to have a ghost in the house, but without her as a living sim the game is no fun any longer.
Hopefully you guys can help me out.

Before the patches, I believe you could actually play your Sim as an active Sim if she died. I don’t think you can now. I believe there are ways you can get her to leave the home without having to start from scratch, but if you want Pauline back you might have to. Anyway, if you go to Edit Town mode and click on your house, and if she shows up, you can always select split up household and stick her someplace else. Its wrong but it might work. There’s a proper way in sending her to the graveyard but I can’t remember at the moment. Have you set her gravestone down in the graveyard?
I want to know how to have a baby by a ghost sim and can all babys live in one house and can they be emo.

There is no way you can choke a sim without a mod.
Hey i know the prob if one of your traits is un lucky the grime reaper boo!lol he wll say that and bring you back to life but if u want to chnage that trait just type in testingcheatsenabled true in the cheat box then hold down shift + click on sim you want to chang traits then click pick traits or wateva it says and it will let u pick the traits again

My ghost sim actually still receives royalties from the book she wrote. And, she and her former husband are no longer married. When I resurrected her, she came back as his fiancée.
I’m actually thinking of putting her grave back in the graveyard. It seems so weird to keep filling up the houses with ghost sims, disrupting the normal life order of the town. We shall see.

You can trap a babby in a corner and the no one can get near the babby the will die some time just let the babbys motives get emty
Or you can CTRL+Shift+C and type in the cheat code ‘testingcheatsenabledtrue’ press enter then go and drag all the green bars to the left to make it a lot quicker.
