I’ve been called a lot of things lately and freethinker is one of them that people call me frequently.

For those who don’t know what a freethinker is…

free-think-er n. A person who forms opinions about religion on the basis of reason, independently of tradition, authority, or established belief. Freethinkers include atheists, agnostics and rationalists.

No one can be a freethinker who demands conformity to a bible, creed, or messiah. To the freethinker, revelation and faith are invalid, and orthodoxy is no guarantee of truth.

To dumb it down for you, it means I don’t have a deity to answer to, I don’t have to worry about things Christians have to worry about. I can do, say, feel, think how I want without laying out my clothes for Sunday morning because of the things I did all week. I can wash my ass without running to a book after-wards, you know the simple things in life.

Recently things I’ve said in a few of my blogs kind of pissed a few “Christians” off. They called me this and they called me that but I didn’t force them to read my blog. I’m not forcing anyone to do anything that they don’t want to do. If they want to get upset so be it but its not much anyone can do about it. I don’t know whats this f actuation with Christians wanting to tell me to “wait for judgment day” and that “I’m going to have to answer to a higher power sooner than I think”. Its like they don’t have respect for my non-belief and refuse to let me be. I wouldn’t be such an ass and calling Christians morons if they weren’t always pressing me and proving me right.

Its a lot of Christians out there that truly think that because Atheists are without religion that we are obviously the Devils little minions. We’re people just like them, we eat, sleep, breathe, bleed the same way they do. We don’t have a hidden agenda [I can't really speak for all Atheists]. We just don’t believe in God. The non-believers and the believers will never live together as long as we got believers worrying about what others are doing, thinking, and believing. I don’t think Atheists are affecting Christians lives to the point that they have to bash us and say “we’re going to pray for you Atheists” whether its on or off line. I can’t even have an opinion or on off line without some Christian making it their business to debate about it. Or at least try anyway, I tend to laugh at them and walk away because they could be wasting their energy on other things instead of wasting it on someone who doesn’t give a damn about them or their train of thought.

That’s another thing, when you ‘Christian’s’ say “we’re going to pray for you Atheists” do you actually sit there at the computer or on the toilet, where ever you guys go to pray and pray for us? Its not like we asked you to pray for us. You’re wasting a ‘prayer‘ on someone who doesn’t give a damn. Yea yea it says in the bible that in order for you to get into heaven is to spread the word, to get people in the church if you will. Well stop trying to convince me, I’ve been in church and I didn’t like it, and I’m never going back if you’re wondering. It was like a haunted house with those clowns from Stephen King‘s: IT.
