This is what was told to me just a few days ago. I was minding my own business, checking my other blog for spam that got away and someone left me a comment saying that the only reason Atheist don’t care about sexuality because they are non-religious. So he goes on and say, “Atheism is to Homosexuality as Christianity is to Heterosexuality”.

Well being that I have friends and family that are either Atheist or Christian, I would have to say that he’s wrong. I know plenty of Atheist that are scared of gays hitting on them, they have a homophobia to the point they won’t even stand next to someone they might think is gay or they will hurt them. Christians that’s a different story, they stand by the bible on so many things such as homosexuality that they are in fact homophobic. Their are some bold individuals who take it too far, they will tell a gay man or woman to their face that they will burn in hell for all eternity like they actually care what they think. Someone asked me can someone be a Christian and Gay at the same time? I didn’t know what to tell her so I told her to go ask a Christian or just read the bible. There are so many errors and contradictions in the Holy Bible that maybe it is okay to be Gay and a Christian. Sure as hell isn’t stopping Priests from raping little boys.

Some people think of Atheists as people with no morals, goals, emotions, consequence when that is far from the truth. We just don’t believe in a deity [well let me stop right there, I cannot speak for every Atheist]. I was a Christian, even was baptized against my will being that I was a minor and had to do what my family said or get beaten. So I know for the most part what’s what as far as being an Atheist is concerned. I allow people to be themselves because that is the right thing to do, its hard for me to judge anyone regardless of what I do or don’t believe in. People think that because I’m an Atheist that I don’t bleed or feel pain the same way anyone with a Deity does.

Atheists are humans too just as much as Gay’s are. What that man was saying was that all Atheists are homosexual and all Christians are heterosexual basically. So, because we don’t believe in a God that makes us homosexual. I’ve heard/read a lot of b.s. come out of a Christians mouth/keyboard but that by far is the most far fetched crock of b.s. I’ve ever read in my life.
