Need a Patch for the Sims 3? Go Here

Update 6/9/2009: The patch from Vizzed Board has been removed due to violations. Sorry guys…

Someone [his name is David] made a comment on my other blog here…he made a patch for The Sims 3 game… you can go here to download it. The instructions are below.

This will take only a few minutes to fix! Here are the steps:

Extract the file you downloaded (with a pc, right click file and choose ‘Extract All…’).

Now you must find the folder the game was installed to:
If you’re using Windows Vista, Browse to the following location on your computer:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin
(if you’re using internet explorer, you can copy the above location and paste it into your address bar in this window and the folder will pop up in a separate window)
If you can’t find it, click the Circle with the Windows Flag in it at the bottom corner of your screen, than go to Computer, than go to Local Disk (C:\than go to Program Files, than go to Electronic Arts, than go to The Sims 3, than go to Game and than go to Bin (please note that it may not show the files and ask you if you want to show the files, it’s safe to show the files)
If you’re using Windows XP, Browse to the following location on your computer:
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin
(if you’re using internet explorer, you can copy the above location and paste it into your address bar in this window and the folder will pop up in a separate window)
If you can’t find it, go to My Computer, than go to Local Disk (C:\ than go to Program Files, than go to Electronic Arts, than go to The Sims 3, than go to Game and than go to Bin (please note that it may not show the files and ask you if you want to show the files, it’s safe to show the files)

Drag the files from that extracted folder from step 2 into this folder that you just browsed to

Now when you go to play the game, it should work right away! Also note that you can now play the game without the disc if you want.

That’s it! The game should work just fine now. Enjoy

I’m sorry but the patch thing doesn’t seem to work for me. I tried to upload the link by Lern2Sim, and that is not deleted. The other one was deleted by Vizzed and I’m getting quite frustrated. Any suggestions? Help?

ok soo, I just recently started my sims 3 game, and soo far everything amazing, until, i noticed that dustin langerak is stuck in central park doing the same motion, as the family at home gets older and marrys hes stil young and in the park. what can I do? Also, the goth family disapeared and in the family roots mortimer and bella(made them marry) are still alive. And the last thing is the marrage lines are broken when somone dies, can any of my problems that are driving me insane be fixed, please im ready to bring the game back.

  That needs a patch. Sorry I couldn’t be of any more help but that is a software issue that EA needs to iron out. I’m sorry that you have to go through such failed gaming software but I hope its fixed soon.

  You’re going to ask David about that, or go to the Vizzed link at the bottom of the page. I haven’t tried the patch because I don’t need it, he just informed me that he made one so I just posted the patch and the instructions.

Will this fix the problem with the torso moving away from body while making sims fat? I really hope so.

  David who posted about the patch didn’t give me any detailed details about it. I guess you would have to go to Vizzed.com and see if you can contact him so he can tell you more about it.

    Well i tryed it but it dident fix that problem but now i’m able to play without inserting my CD That is wery usefull when playing it on a labtop

I cant download from the link, when I try to download it from the link provided “here”

I certainly do wait for a few seconds but when i tried downloading it..the item that I get is not the .rar file instead I always encounter the internet page site..

can you please help me download the patch pls..thank you

  If you have WinRAR that is what you’ll need to download the patch. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and there is this gold button that says download, select that and a window should pop up. Either you’re on a server that is not allowing you to download it or it was down at the time you tried, but it has worked for me. See if you can try again, if not, I will try and contact the person who told me about it.
