Yes, you can, you can simply go to ‘edit town’ and select an empty lot you want to build on and when you’re through you can move them in through your phone or through ‘edit town’. Just simply evict them and move them into the new house you just built. As far as just sitting there, I would just fast forward through the day until they come home, that’s what I usually did until I got the expansion pack Ambitions.

Hi,
I stumbled on this site through google. You seem pretty smart with the sims. I am very impressed. I do have one question though, that I cannot seem to get answered. How do you play a sim after they move out? Ya know like when the teen turns into a young adult and gets to move out, how do you play them? And is there a way for you to make spouse for them? You seem to be my only hope. Please help. Thank you. If you want, you can just email me the answer. That would be great.

You would have to move that Sim to a home and then make that home the active household. Sadly you can only have one active household at a time. If you want to make that Sim have a spouse, you can either make a sim to add to the household and allow them to become partners or you can find a single sim pre-made in the game. I hope this helped some.

How do you “setup for your party” in Sims 3? I hosted a party for a co-worker which turned out okay but everyone was complaining of be’g hungry. I didn’t have a clue what to do. Thanks for any help you can give.
Lee

You have to setup for the part by going to buy/build mode and theres a section that have party equipment.

December 27, 2010
You should make food before the party starts, or order a pizza. There’s always a warning 2 hours before the party starts saying for your sim to setup. Some sims arrive up to an hour earlier, so be prepared. You can also buy a bar and have your sim make drinks ahead of time. And you can buy a “pit fire” (I think that’s the wrong name, but you’ll find it…) in the outdoor/grill section. It seats up to 8 people (buy your own chairs) and you can light a fire. Everyone can roast marshmallows or whatever food they have with them, but the food only serves one. (I roasted an entire turkey and my sim ate the whole thing right off the stick). To make the party a great party, always have music, food/drink, and things to do (TV, video games, multi-person games, swings, pool etc.)
