FINDLAY — A northwest Ohio teenager has been suspended by his Christian school because he attended another high school‘s prom.

Officials at Heritage Christian School in Findlay had warned 17-year-old Tyler Frost that he would be suspended and prohibited from attending graduation if he went to the public school dance over the weekend with his girlfriend.

Frost says he didn’t think going to the dance was wrong even though his fundamentalist Baptist school Ohio forbids dancing, rock music and hand-holding.

Frost didn’t go to school Monday. Instead, he and his girlfriend are heading to New York for a Tuesday morning TV interview.

The teen says he’s now getting Facebook and e-mail messages from around the world.

Christians are officially morons.

No offense, but you shouldn’t judge a whole group of people based on one part of that group that claim to be christians. i get that you have your own ideas about the world and that you have that right, but so do other people. one groups actions does not define a group of people as a whole.

Christianity has always been an epic fail. From cannibalism (eat my body drink my blood) to worshipping zombies (and on the third day he rose from the dead). Lol Christianity sounds more like a bad B movie than a religion.

      Lol, true.

Oh yea, keep your paragraphs, I don’t really care what you think…I don’t understand why you came back.

Yep Zack, Christians are morons, regardless of what you feel. Its not gone make me lose any sleep at night because my font got under your skin. Suck it up Zacky-boy, the internet is not here to mend your feelings or spare them either. Damn MORON.

  6. Rebi says:

I agree that this school is wrong to have suspended Frost. However, we should not stoop to the same close-minded level by assuming that every Christian behaves this way.

“Christians are officially morons” = a gross generalization. Many Christians do support dancing. Lets leave the harsh judgments to them.

    • Lee says:

      -sigh-
Why can’t my opinion be just my opinion why does people always have to resort to telling me what not to do with my opinion? Why does it have to be “harsh” because I say they’re morons? If I think they’re morons then so be it.

  7. Roy says:

Why does the school get to dictate what he does outside of school hours? I know I can’t swear in school, but I can outside of it. Maybe your school has a uniform- are you required to wear it at home, too? To forbid dancing outside of school goes beyond the limits of the school’s power. Had he been dancing in school, then it would be different.

    • Lee says:

      Right, I totally agree.

  8. Stef says:

It’s the basic value that children are to obey authority. He broke the rules the school set for their students, the rules which he agreed to obey. That is their punishment and the boy knew what would happen to him if he went. He made the choice to disobey and he must face the consequences. How is this wrong and how does this make Christians morons? By setting rules and enforcing them?

    • Lee says:

      Oh brother…

  9. Fallenknight says:

I hope this opens his eyes enough to the unreasonable nature of fundamentalism.

  10. Lee says:

    Christianity FTL.
