I’m not trying to knock Christians for being Christians or knock Easter for being a Holiday but don’t try and make me into something I’m not, I’ve had enough of that from my dysfunctional ass family, I don’t need it from someone with a keyboard and a opinion. You and that opinion can go sit in a pew together and scream “Oh Holy Day, I’m a Christian“. You have no motive or reason to care what I don’t believe in. I don’t believe in Santa Claus or the Boogie man so I think it should be okay for me not to believe in God. You can’t have your cake and eat it too. What does boiling eggs, decorating them, hiding them in a large yard and having little kids scramble to find them have to do with a rabbit or Easter exactly? Nothing Right? What does a magical fat man and his magical homo elves, running around singing Christmas Carols and making toys just so Santa fat ass can take off in his sleigh with the flying reindeer, land on someone’s house squeezing down a chimney, leaving presents, eat the cookies then squeeze his big fat ass back up the chimney all to do it again next door have to do with anything? If this is about this Holy person why is Christmas more important?
Its okay to be a child and believe in Santa Claus just to grow up to find out he isn’t real. Why isn’t it okay for my family tell me God is real just for me to grow up and not believe in God? Who told you Christians that it was okay to worry about what someone else is doing? Why the hell do you care so much? Why can’t we just be left the hell alone?
Around and on Easter I stay away from people altogether, there isn’t a snowballs chance in the Sahara that I will just so happen to walk past an Atheist. I’m expecting more individuals to tell me Happy Easter for the next two days. I’m also expecting individuals online who have been trying for the last 3 or 4 months to try and convert me back to a Christian, believing that I’m vulnerable and if I can be convinced to be an Atheist, I can be convinced to be a born-again Christian. I hope they have fun with that, I know I am.

[...] An Atheist and Easter Sunday [...]
Hey, just some info I’m not sure you’ve heard:
The whole Easter bunny, eggs and basket thing actually has pagan origins; a LONG long time ago, in the spring, (right around when Easter is celebrated now, strangely enough) people gave out baskets of eggs and/or rabbits to couples who were trying to have children. It was thought that this would increase fertility, and it was done in the spring because this is a natural time for reproduction in nature.
Speaking of which, what about Christmas trees? What do Christmas trees have to do with the birth of Christ? Or even the fat jolly man that supposedly visits every home on the planet? (Which, btw, I feel is about as feasible as the tripe read in the bible.) I’m not really sure what that is all about, but I do know that the pagan holiday of Yule is traditionally celebrated with a Yule Tree, in which presents are hidden for the children.
What is MOST likely is that many many many years ago, the church adopted these pagan practices and joined them to Christian holidays, that way, instead of killing people for practicing things they have practiced for years, they could indoctrinate them into their own religion and thereby “convert” them to Christianity. Basically, they wanted to make the Christian religion more “familiar” for people who before were practicing their very own religion. WTF is up with THAT!?

[...] An Atheist and Easter Sunday [...]
i actually was raised with the idea that easter was when you left out a basket and this giant rabbit would fill it with candy while you slept and then hide it from you. it wasn’t until i was at least ten that i actually learned there was some even more asinine reasoning behind it.
oh well. there’s no one to hide baskets now but me.
I honestly just wanted the candy…
hahaha exactly!!! then, after years of believing that this giant rabbit would give me candy im told its because of jesus that i get candy??? why are there so many strange delusions at the base of all holidays??? why?? the only one i understand is Samhain, or Halloween. other than that, i really dont understand why i cant just get presents and candy because im loved.
cum and get it pussy
Its hard to tell but I’m sure you’re the spam that got away. Damn you Askimet.

It saddens me to see such a beautiful woman so lost and confused in her ways of the Christian life. What made you turn your back on God? Was it a man, was it your pastor? Why do you feel that all Christians are the same? Maybe you should look in the mirror and see if you are who you say you are.
It saddens me to witness the fact that my looks has nothing to do with me being what I am. It also isn’t an indication that I’m lost or confused in my ways. The reason I’m an Atheist has been explained already and it has nothing to do with a man or the pastor. I have a category strictly for Atheism, I suggest you go there before you start talking out the side of your neck about things you have no clue to why you’re asking them.
wow. Bible Man’s two cents really wasn’t worth shit. Beautiful woman Lost and confused? there are so many things wrong with what you said, Bible Man.
First off, you assume that because she is an Atheist that she is lost and confused? I don’t even know her and i cant say with absolute certainty that shes more confident in her beliefs than most people are all their lives.
“Beautiful woman” ? Are you saying that if she weren’t good looking than it’d be overlooked that she were “lost and confused” ? Are you saying that only good looking women can be Christan?
And then you go on to imply that she let a man overpower her beliefs? She obviously doesn’t need your god, or a man for that matter – least of all one that is clearly looking to have his ass whipped.
You know it takes a lot for them to think and of course being that he’s a Christian, he didn’t think logically.
of course!! asking him to think logically, or at all for that matter, would just be to much!!!
Just wait till judgment day…u will see thee error in ur ways!!!!…u will burn in hell for all eternity!!! repent now save urself from evil!!!! u shall be blessed for believing and ur soul shall be saved!!! exercise the demons!!!! or persish!!!!
Stop watching Edward Scissorhands and taking after that holy woman of the neighborhood.
Just wait till the sequel. It will be in ALL CAPS for sure! Oh nos!
LMAOOOOOO!!!
People have a choice in what they want to believe in. In some sense you are right about that, people should not give a damn about what someone else is doing with their life. Their life isn’t making their life a living hell so why should they care? There are more Christians than Atheists statistics shows so shouldn’t that be enough comfort for them?
No it isn’t enough, Christians want everyone to be a Christian anything else is ungodly. This is why I despise those who judge me or try to make me change my ways.
Yea, that is indeed true. They are in fact worse than the villagers back in the 16 through 18 hundreds when someone smart or was special came around they declared they was a witch and should be burned. They are no different than them.
Very good example!
Your heart is definately concrete
Wow, you spelled definitely wrong. What a shame.
Then you call me a dumb ass where your name should be? Its okay Ashely I know its you. Dumb ass.
right!!!! thats exactly how i feel about the same shit!!!! christians will never learn will they? markarios please shut your face u look like an idiot…just like the ones described in this blog!!!!
Its not like I have a personal grudge on all Christians no. My boyfriend is a Christian, and I’m fine with that. I’m talking about the ones who won’t leave Atheists alone. Those are the ones that are scared that there really isn’t a God. So they pick on us about the shit.
Why be an ass about the whole thing though? Why do you care what others care about? I pretty sure you aren’t losing any sleep at night…am I right?
Blah @ your existence.
“but don’t try and make me into something I’m not,”
You mean someone who is considerate regarding the feelings of others? You can’t congradulate anyone unless you agree with them? Are you a child or what? And what’s with your opening remarks about the Christians who come to Church once a year? If a congregation has 200 people show up every Sunday. And on Easter Sunday an extra 50 people show up, for their once a year appearance, are you suggesting that the 50 who come once a year are the “real” Christians?
Oh brother… here we go with the judgmental crap. Tell me, how do you get all of that out of a simple font hmmm?
You sir, fail at life!
Don’t he though?
