Seems like it take someone famous for people to get serious about domestic violence. From places I’ve read on the internet there were readings of declaring a Domestic Violence Day for women. I don’t know if this hasn’t already been put in to effect or not but why does it take some famous broad to get beat up for someone to act on something?

Why does it have to take Rihanna to get mauled by Chris Brown for a day like this to occur? I mean women have been getting they asses beat since before Ike and Tina Turner. Why all of the hub bub now? Is it because drama sells? Maybe because Rihanna went back to Chris Brown? Even Oprah herself had a special on what happened between those two. She was right, if a man hit you once, he’ll hit you again. I mean hell let her find out the hard way and if it happens again she won’t have no one to blame but herself. Women have been getting killed by their boyfriends for I don’t know how long. It don’t make a big enough effect if the women who were killed were famous. People have made a big deal out of this more than Jennifer Hudson losing family members.

It takes something drastic or something life threatening for someone to react and that’s pretty damn sad. We bare children, we’re fragile, etc etc, the man is strong, and tall, etc etc. It seems that these people with these television shows should of been pushing on this issue instead of waiting for something like this to happen.

Its stupid, its just like what happened at the school Igraduated from. The school was called SuccessTech Academy, it was a part of the Cleveland Municipal School District to an extent. Bill Gates sponsored the school with the latest gizmo’s and gadgets, all the technology we would need. The school though lacked security guards, camera’s and metal detectors. Out of the 4 years I was attending that school, not once did they have the students go through a metal detector. Well two years after my sister was attending, a guy named Asa Coon came to school with a gun, he was suspended so the next day he managed to get to the top floor where the school was at.

The building consists of 7 floors including the basement. There was surveillance; but not every where. Even after the class of 2006 was long gone they had yet to try and make the school safer. Anyway, he shot two teachers and a few students. He went to the 6th floor and kills himself. After that ordeal, the district decides to get on the safety of the school, they decided to get metal detectors, they decided to go through all the necessary precautions so it wouldn’t happen again. It shouldn’t of happened the first time. Well even when my sister called that day and told me to come get her. The SWAT Team, FBI team, The Cleveland Police were all around the building, how did I manage to get in? Even then they were fucking stupid.

The fact that people wait and wait and wait for something to happen to make a big deal out of it. It takes someone famous or someone to die for people to know its serious. Believe it not when it comes to certain domestic violence, the woman are the cause because they don’t know when to stop pushing people to the edge, some women bring ass kickings upon themselves.

Its time for the world to wake the hell up and treat shit like this like a game of Chess. Anticipate the next move, think ahead. Then maybe the tabloids, the paparazzi, the media wouldn’t have much to say about it or make it a big damn deal. Someone getting beat shouldn’t be nobodies business of their own to begin with. Tossing it around as if its some kind of joke doesn’t make it any better.

Oh…Lee, I am sorry. The first line in my previous post should’ve read, “You are right about Rihanna!” Will you please make the correction.

    You are right about Rihanna!
In fact, I read that there was a survey done, where only women were interviewed, and they were asked whether it was right for a man to beat his wife up. About half said that it was right. (I’ll see if I could find some information about it on the Internet.)

I guess often it’s women who hurt the cause of women…but then again, it’s women (like you) who take up the cause too:)

    Licks n Wags,
