My thoughts: Wtf man? All these years when people been getting away with eating all over RTA terminals/buses/rapid stations. The only reason why they are doing this is for citations and banking in the money. I mean to ride a bus on RTA for an all day pass is $4.50. I mean damn come on, give people a BREAK!
But its gets better…Look at the comments about it. SMH.
“I am not a fan of the Bus Police [-SIGH- Transit Police], as they are a bunch of over zealous wanna-bees, BUT… in their defense I can relate the scenario, which was probably like this; She is sitting there eating her meal, threw wrappers from the burger on the ground, dropping fries around her, and a bus cop approaches and advises… “maam, you’re really not supposed to be eating here, so would you at least pick up your litter”, and of course there was back talk from her, or no reply at all, and the bus copper repeated himself, and when she ignored what was a cordial advisory to comply, she was arrested… plain and simple, and with just cause.
Lil feller Scotty boy needs to present an entire story, without all of the sensationalism, and since RTA would not comment, since the case has not gone to muny court yet, well, Scotty boy needed to ask her right out, what the whole story was, and show her attitude when he asked that question. The bus police I can assure you did not just pick her out of a crowd and decide to arrest her for having her fies, and you can take that to the bank! Now a real reporter is Ed Galak, he can be trusted to give the WHOLE story, good or bad, you will see it all.”
