Walking up and down the streets from where I used to stay and hearing this new lingo people around there were using or saying to me is really stupid as hell. One person said something stupid to me and I had to ask him to repeat that in English but since he don’t know what that meant he just repeated what he said the first time. So being who I am, I just walked away and left him and his words standing there in search for answers. See, I never really listened to Hip-Hop or Rap music, I never hung around people who spoke slang or Ebonics. Though just because I was raised in an Urban Neighborhood, the people there expect me to understand them. Well here are a few things I might understand..
“What’s good/goodie/gucci/poppin’?” – What’s up?
“That’s what’s up.” – That’s good.
“That’s raw/tight!” – That’s cool.
“You gone get murked!” – You are going to get killed.
“Ma” – Female
“You straight hollin’.” – You’re talking a lot of shit.
I cannot think of the others because my I.Q. will not allow me to. I don’t even know if I got the ones I listed right or what they actually mean. Most of these I kind of put together to what they could mean. I could be wrong but anyway, there are individuals that don’t even know what the English Language is any more. Listening to Lil’ Wayne and Gucci Mane will have that effect on them. A lot of them get upset cause they think I’m joking or I’m trying to be “stuck-up“. How that’s an indication for being stuck-up I’ll never know. Not only are they lacking common English they are lacking a education all together. Just because I’m light-skinned and I’m walking through the hood and you walk up to me talking about, “What’s Gucci?” doesn’t mean I’m stuck-up when I say, “Can you repeat that in English?” I don’t know what makes you think that but if you do then you truly are a statistic. If you think I’m stuck-up cause of that then maybe you should stop talking to females all together.
No way in hell will I allow myself to talk to someone who talking like they straight out of a Lil’ Wayne video or a Soulja Boy video. This Ebonics or slang people use change more than the ones who use it change their drawls. If I’m stuck-up because I don’t understand or try to understand what you idiots are trying to say to me then again, I’ll be that. I rather be a stuck-up smart bitch than a stuck-up stupid bitch. All I listen to is music that has nothing to do with rappers. All of this music today is disgusting as far as hip-hop and rap is involved.
I always kept my head in the books and out of the streets. Didn’t make too many friends cause I didn’t want/need them. I’ve been do bad all by damn self. I chose to be a loner for the simple fact people are more comfortable with wasting their time to stab you in the back than to be a decent friend. Broads are so quick to try and gold-dig a man or to fuck their best friends boyfriend. I never had to deal with that and I never will. Who wants a broad around you especially when they bleed the same way every month as you do? They bitch without the extra bullshit, why have them around when they on their menstrual huh?
Anyway, I’m not gone try and converse with an idiot. Don’t give a damn what they look like or who they are. We won’t get far in the conversation if I don’t understand what the fuck you’re saying. So don’t waste my time getting mad at me cause you sound like you ate Plies or Tyga for breakfast.

[...] Just Because I Grew Up in an Urban Neighborhood Doesn’t Mean I Speak Slang or is Suppose to Unders… – Basically its about urban people in my neighborhood that I once stayed that expected me to under their slang or Ebonics all together. Just cause I stayed in the hood doesn’t mean I was supposed to become a product of my environment. I’m not supposed to understand what people are saying when it isn’t English all because I hear people use it all of the time. I’m not going to go around asking people what they meant either. If you can’t speak English or where I can slightly understand it or translate then don’t even talk to me. That goes for on and offline. [...]
